    Default Drunk At Work.

Ugh, I drank too much at work last night! I feel like a fucking idiot because I just realized I gave the DJ a SUPER crappy tip, considering I went in the champagne room (which is were I had a couple too many). I even forgot to pay my base, but I remembered THAT a couple hours after I left, and headed back to pay it and gave a little extra to the doorguy for any stress THAT caused him. Should I head back and give him a decent tip, or would that be stupid? Of course, I already feel stupid.

Speaking as a DJ, if you honestly feel you slighted him...just throw him a bone next time with a little apology. "Sorry, I was a bit sauced the other night and I forgot to take care of you". This happens to me all the time. I never mind, it's money either way. Plus, I like that they cared enough to remember in the first place. The ones that skip out constantly are the enemy, not a girl who simply forgot.

Yea, but this is like, my second week at this club. I left for 6 months or so, but they got all new employees and managers since then. Do you think he'd think it's a regular thing for me? Seriously, I have the man a DOLLAR!

If it's the first time it has happened to this new guy, then he has no way of knowing if this is a "normal thing" for you, right? Just throw him a little something and a "sorry", and all is well. There are two girls at my club who are either continuosly drunk or just scatterbrained, and I get tipped the next day by them I would say a good 75% of the time. The only wrong thing would be to ignore it and hope he didn't notice, because I assure you, he did.

As far as damage control just be on good behavior next time so they dont think this is normal for you. Mr. C has good advice on make sure that when you go back you tip the dj the rest.
Things like this happen and just go back start over with a few apologies if it was that bad.

Don't worry about it girl, just hook him up when u see him! After all, MS Excel's spreadsheet's are easily edited. The dj, will have no problem changing the specific amount you tipped him, so he has an accurate tally at the end of the year, and knows how much to spend on your holiday gift etc. Oh wait, that's MY d.j./club! LMAO

I've always been kind of confused about the whole DJ tipping thing. It isn't a tip unless it's because the DJ did something extra that you liked, any more than tipping at restaurants for table service would be.

That being said, out in the non-stripping world, I'd advise making a special trip to deal with it before the next time you're working, so (1) it doesn't become some sort of drama for later and (2) if you really are concerned, you can have it off your conscience.

Give the DJ an apology tonight when you get there, along with the appropriate tip. And as you already know, go light on the alcohol. LOL.

I only work at this club once a week... Damnit, I'm gonna have to drive all the way back there. Or, I could call and ask when he's working. I don't think he's there now, though.

Hehe, I know! I hate getting drunk at work, whenever it happens I feel like such an idiot for not paying more attention.

This is a unhealthy but easy way to avoid getting too drunk- Pepto-Bismo caplets coat the inside of your stomach so the booze "runs out" of you the next morning.

The better way is to dump the booze in an ashtray or planter pot, or on the other side of the couch in VIP (LOL)

Don't worry, I doubt you're the first ever dancer who got too messed up to tip out correctly. LOL

A girl at our club got VERY drunk & puked on a customer (whos lap she was sitting on). When she REFUSED to get off he picked her up & threw her on the ground.

You can always have the bartender give you "ladies drinks" if it's allowed in the VIP. It's one way to still do the drink hustle and not get totally sloshed. Just be glad all you did was undertip the DJ. I've seen drunk dancers puke on stage, get in fights with custies or co-workers, throw shot glasses across the bar, and engage in extras. All far worse than undertipping.

Why would anyone get drunk while at work? Is it because dancers just can or are addicted? You will not make your best money while drunk and you will piss of the other dancers, management, and staff, not to mention some of the customers. I myself as a customer will avoid drunk dancers, as they are too much out of control.

If a dancer has to be drunk just to stand working in the industry, that dancer needs to get out. I don't believe there is another profession where so many workers consume as much alcohol as stripping. Sure doesn't do anything good to the general reputation of stripping either.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

^^^^ Because customers stop spending if you're not drinking because you're 'no fun'... because they think if they can get you drunk you're gonna give extras and will spend more.

My trick is to pretend I'm already tipsy when they buy me a drink and then say "Well we get free drinks if you buy an hour, so buy an hour!" and then they need to start drinking and I take a sip - and spit it back out while they're drinking. I only take a swallow out of every 5-6 sips taken. When they turn away and turn back I say the champagne glass with more in it is theirs. "I drank some!" And they think I did and get MORE sloshed so they spend more money.
