    Self-tanner allergy

So I've stayed out of tanning beds for almost two years now. I used Coppertone Endless Summer and that kept me happy, until recently...the past three times I've applied it I get some sort of allergic reaction First I thought maybe it was from my continued use of prenatals, so I switched to regular vitamins. Then I thought maybe I shouldn't shave right before, so I didn't. Third time- I decided maybe it was the foam type, so I got the lotion.....NO LUCK!

I get this awful itch all over my legs..just my legs, WTF? Last night I kept waking in the middle of the night scratching. Now I'm afraid to try anything else, but I don't want to go back to damaging my skin in the beds like I did in the past. Being happy with my natural color is not an option...I look much better with some color on me!

Has anyone experienced this? Is it just the brand? What can I do??? Thanks for any help!

It could be the bottle. Could you buy a new bottle and see if it happens again? If it does, I would recommend switching brands.

Yes. I am insanely allergic to ALL self tanners on the market. There is a common ingredient in them.. Triethanolamine
Anyways, I can't even use anything with a bronzer! I scratched myself raw five years ago before I realized I was allergic, I had to sit in an oatmeal bathfor a good half a day and I had to wash the stuff completely off. Nothing like having an insanely itch that will drive you absolutely insane!

Sorry to hear.. but yes, me too.. sensitive skin and a redhead to boot! I have to test EVERYTHING before I wear, including regular lotions...foundation etc..

I had that happen with regular lotion for a time. Something in it made my skin not only itch, but BURN like a mutha! I could only use certain types of lotion for awhile, but now I can use pretty much everything again. *shrugs*

Sorry, that probably wasn't very helpful, but maybe stop using it for awhile and then try again?
