    Exclamation Lavender oil for zits?

ok i know there are loads of posts bout how to get rid of zits, but whenever it is taht time of the month i get a couple oreally big evil ones on my boobs and once they pop, they stay there for weeks, leavin jsut a horrible red spot and scab. Anyway i heard that lavender oil is good for healing and toning redness, i have a hot date on saturday night and seriously need these to go!!!! Or at least cover them up.
    thanx

At the min ive been exfoliating with a flannel and then using a mixture of lavender oil and tea tree to try and get rid of the blighters and i just cant tell if they r healing or not as ive had them so long

I have heard tea tree oil is good don't know about lavendar oil.

But one thing you mentioned is concerning me...you said they take a long time to heal...
    "they stay there for weeks"

Have you had a blood panel run recently? It is not 'normal' to take that long to heal...do you also bruise easily?

You may be anemic...it's very common but you need to look into this...a doctor will tell you to add an iron supplement to your daily viatmin/food intake.

Slow healing could also be from stress or even diabetes...but I think you should get it checked out...unless you are picking the same zit over and over and not allowing it to heal...there is no reason you should be healing that slow.

Try not to pick, make sure your fingers and hands are clean if you touch your face...and use a good face wash and moisturize.

People don't realize that whether you have oily or dry skin you need moisturizer...if your skin is oily it's a sign your bodi feels it needs to over work it's oil glands to balance out the skin...sma ewith dry skin.

And some prodicts on the market for zits' can actually aggrivate the situation and make you break out more. Stick to one product and use it when you need to.

    Good Luck

vitamin e oil and aloe to help heal the remaining red mark, tea tree oil for the active zits and for the open sore afterwards. lavender oil is slightly antiseptic, and it's usually made with alchohol, so it should work a bit, but tea tree oil would work much better. make sure you use an actual essential oil and not a fragrance oil. you can also swab witch hazel over the acne prone areas twice a day as a preventative. after the zit has popped and is an open sore, put tea tree oil on it, and when you are sure that there is no remaining pus, start applying vitamin e oil over the tea tree oil. you can switch off between the vitamin e oil and the aloe. only use aloe fresh from the plant- the stuff in the bottle from stores is worthless. once it is no longer an open sore, but just a red mark, you can stop the tea tree oil and just do the vitamin e. also, if you tend to get acne in places like under your breasts, try using body powder or baby powder.

I know the tea tree oil will definately help them. But that stuff stinks to high heaven I imagine the lavender oil would at the very least make it smell more pleasant. As far as redness goes I've read that Visine will take the redness out of a pimple but I've never tried that trick so can't vouch for it personally.

Aspirin mask might help too I mix mine with honey.

I think exfoliating is the reason they take so long to heal. Zits that are inflamed should not be disturbed.

Try this-gently wash the area with a mild soap. Don't scrub and pat dry.
Apply mega strength benzoyl peroxide (5%-10%) and leave overnight.

    This shivels mine right up.
