Default Looking for a great mascara!

I have the shortest, tiniest lashes! Does anyone here have the same problem? What's the best mascara? Also, my lashes never stay curled for more than 20 minutes when I use a lash curler. Any suggestions? I typically use fake lashes, but I want another alternative when I'm out day to day.

    Thanks

Try Max Factor 2000 Calorie....I think it's MF anyway. It's what I use and I like it a lot.

Bad Gal Lash by Benefit is awesome!

And my fav by Dior is DiorShow!

Blast your eyelash curler with your blow dryer for a few seconds and then curl your lashes...makes them curl and stay!

lately I've been using bare escentuals Big Tease mascara because it came in a gift set. I like it fine. I would however like to try dior show and ysl.

Maybelline had/has this special mascara out..forget the name but it came in a grey tube. People really noticed my lashes with it on and they weren't even curled.

there are several kinds of mascaras with fibers in them. usually it's two steps, the first step you paint on the white fibers, the second step you paint on the mascara. one is maybelline xxl, which i've used- it works great, but i'm sure the other brands with fibers are pretty much the same thing. it gives you the length of falsies, but with just mascara, and it's easy to use.

I second the Maybeline XXL. I'm a redhead, so my lashes are very light. The Maybeline really makes them show up.

In a related note, I've been using Jan Marini Age Intervention Eyelash for a couple months, and it has done wonders for my previously short lashes. They are now long and glamorous, which is good, because the stuff costs about $130! It does last 3 months, though, so the price is a little bit easier to swallow, and it does work in terms of lengthening lashes. It takes 3 months to see full results, and I haven't noticed my lashes thickening per se (as in, more lashes) but mine did get extremely long (for me--they're about 3/8 of an inch long where normally they're about 1/4 inch long).

I haven't seen any noticeable results in the past few weeks, but I think it's because all my lashes have reached their maximum growth right now and I'll have to wait for another growth cycle to see it kick in again, and that takes a month or two. But when I first started using it, wow--huge difference. I was very impressed. I plan to buy it again when this tube runs out.

Id say ysl is the best but it dries out quickly. Dior is good as is Benefit.

I don't like the two step ones (I have the XXL). The white always seems to show through somewhat. Maybe I'm doing something wrong....

I love maybelline's xxl, i always put the white on first, but i never let it dry, then i quickly put as much black on as i can...i never see the white, and it really works wonders! Also you should try clinique's high impact mascara, that stuff really works as well. Good luck!

I need to find a good waterproof one. I like YSL's, but it does dry out quickly. Right now, I'm experimenting but I haven't found "the one"...

L'Oreal Voluminous used to be my favorite, until I tried their new one - L'Oreal Volume Shocking (it's one of the 2-step volume kinds). It's amazing! I look like a dead person without my mascara!

I LOVE Maybelline's Lash Discovery Waterproof in Very Black. I am a mascara junkie, and have tried everything under the sun. I have a "used 3 times" tube of Dior Show that spent the big $$$ on and hated.
The Lash Discovery has a tiny brush that helps you really get all of your lashes. I apply 2 coats and never have clumping.

I love Lancome waterproof Flextencils and I use a heated lash curler. I have tiny blonde lashes and this combination works good for me. Maybelline Illegal Lengths used to be my favorite but I guess it is discontinued now.

Either Lancome Definicils or Urban Decay's Skyscraper mascaras.

Urban Decay's Lingerie and Galoshes works miracles for anyone who wants a primer and waterproofer!

I like the Maybelline XXL and also their Great Lash Mascara. I've tried more expensive brands, but the Maybelline works the best for me.
