    Default Quickbooks for strippers

I just put Quickbooks on my computer in order to track my expenses and income to make quarterly tax time easier. But, I'm totally lost. I watched all the tutorials that came with the damn program, yet after about a half hour trying to get this program to suit my needs, I wind up giving my computer the finger and storming away from it, feeling like an idiot.
Does anyone use this program? Can anyone give me any tips on how to customize it for stripper life? I only need to track my work expenses and income in order to generate a report to hand to my accountant. I'm trying to get away from the 'receipts in an envelope and scribbles in a calender' system that I've been using.
Or is this just the wrong program to use? It seems targeted more for an actual business with employees and 'accounts recievable', and other crap.
Is the Microsoft Money program better?

Microsoft Money is more like what you are looking for. Quickbooks is more-or-less a high-tech checkbook. It's designed for accounts payable and receiving more than for tracking income and expense patterns.

Yea, I have both Quickbooks and Microsoft Money. I use Microsoft Money instead b/c its alot easier and tells you when you made a mistake as well. It adds and everything for me (something Im not good at). If you dont have it the program is about $80.

I would concur that either MS Money or Quicken is better suited for most dancers. QB is more complicated than you need as you won't be procesing receivables and payables. Additionally, Quicken will track your investements. Make certain that you enter in the details of your credit cards and reconcile your accounts monthly.

QB has a warrenty/refund policy - I prefer Quicken over MS Money - I am sure it is only because of habit - plus it Quicken works with my Mac.

Yeah, I was only attempting the Quickbooks because my CPA gave me a copy of it for free. I assumed since he gave it to me that it was the best thing for my needs, but just seems to have alot of functions that I'll never need, and I can't find the ones I do. I'm just going to ditch it.
In digging around in my laptop, I found that it came with MS Money, so I'm going to start fiddling with that, instead.
