Default boob job - weight lifting

I did a search, but didn't really find any relevant posts.

Does anyone know if there is a weight limit on how much you should bench press (or any other pec workout) with implants? I figured I would ask here before I called my surgeon, his bedside manner kinda blows (great surgeon, though)
I've had 350 saline unders for a year, healed perfect, no probs.

Yesterday, I increased the weight I press from 30 to 40 pounds. Today, I'm sore as hell, but it's doesn't so much feel like the regular post workout soreness. It feels more like the post-op soreness. They look and move normally, just feel different. Is this to be expected after a hard workout with implants? Are there any warning signs that I've fucked things up? Or do you just wake up sometimes with a screwed up boob? Do these things have a recommended weight limit??

I wasn't sure if this should go in the 'boob job sticky', or if that was for old posts...

I had an ex with calf implants, so this is purely off of that knowledge, but he did have a limit on the excercises he could do. If you build the muscles under the implants (namely your pecs) your muscles may begin to bulk. So there are two choices - either the implants squash or your skin stretches to accomodate, and your body will take the path of least resistance.

    Definitely check with your doc.

why not call a diff doctor and say that you haven't gotten a BA or you're about to get a new BA and wanted to check the weightlifting stats since you tend to do x amount when you lift.

I still follow the rule of 'dont do anything that hurts'. My co-worked who started wieght lifting after 6 months (she got unders) and she was sore as hell too. Also, a general rule for lifting is if it hurts in the first 3 reps it might be too much wieght for you. You'll want to complete your set using correct form with each rep.

If your implant is under the pec muscle then you MUST lift light! You risk the breast moving sideways if you life heavy. I have mine over the muscle so I could do chest with no worries...but under the muscle is totally diffrent. I have a girlfriend who is a fitness competitor and her implants are so far apart now because she lifts so heavy. They looked great when she first got them...but not now.

I wouldn't lift more then 50 for chest press to be safe.

Kay - so maybe lighter weight with more reps is better? Maybe I should just leave my pecs the hell alone....

Is there any signs to tell if I've already damaged something, or just a wait and see thing?
