Default can I even hope to fix eyebags?

Okay, I've got the sort of eyebags that extend almost an inch below my eyes. They're not dark when I get enough sleep but they tend to be puffy enough that I ALWAYS notice them.

How can I get rid of them?

and if the topical stuff doesn't work is there a surgery for this?

Mario Badescu eye products have been given rave reviews on this site....

I read an interview with a supermodel (she was big in the early 90s, featured in the book "Model") that surgery was the only way for her to be happy with her genetically puffy undereyes...I also worked with a dancer who had an eyejob & she said the only aftereffect was her undereyes got reddish when she went running in the mornings....

I recall Terri Hatcher having dark undereye circles, that are now gone, probably surgically (I love the girl, not a slam just an observation...)

This is going to sound weird but stick with me, if the issue is just that they're puffy, Preperation H does wonders from what i've been told. If it's discoloration I have no clue...

I've also heard that the preparation H that does the trick is no longer available in the usa, but is available in canada.

Hardcore cleansing and vitamin suppliments (-:

Check for allergies and food intollerances too as these can cause eye bags.

huh...maybe it's the old Prep H then. A family member tried Prep H and said it didn't work at all but I wonder if it was the new kind. What's the active ingredient in the old one? Maybe I can hunt for something that has it stateside.

Any ideas on how much a surgery like that would cost? I've been staving off surgery because I'm really fine with the way that my body is, but man, eyebags are a bitch! Sometimes their dark but today, for example, they were just you know-- circles! Almot like a big half moon wrinkle under each eye!!!

A yellowy or pinkish concealer (depending on your skin tone) can do wonders.

I was always told that tea bags do the trick. Can anyone verify that statement, or is it a lost cause?

nah-- don't do makeup that often and it depresses me to think that the only way to fix it is with makeup. That's fine for modeling shoots, but other than that, I want some solution that I don't have to work to hide the bags.

i've had eye bags ever since i was young like a big C above my cheek bone. even if their not puffy i still have that dang line. I've heard it was due to improper lymphatic drainage. They say to reduce sleep with a fluffy pillow, with head more up right so the liquid does not settle in the bag area. sometimes i press them down with my fingers like im squeezing the liquid out. it works a bit.

i'm going to try the tea bag thing caffene should tighten up the area

so im in there with ya your not alone!

I use Hylexin eye cream. It works wonders! It is for dark circles but I noticed with in a half hour of applying it my puffiness dissipates, as well. After using for about 3 weeks my circles have lightened up too. I have really bad allergies so I have always had cirlces and this is the only thing that has worked. Everyone at worked noticed too, they all say I look so much more rested! It's expensive but so worth it!

My friend uses Hylexin and it works very well for her dark circles. It is the only thing that makes her look rested. I have puffiness under my eyes some days and Lancome Renergie Eye lotion completely gets rid of it. I really see fast and noticeable results with the stuff. It is about $55 though so you might want to go to the counter and get a free sample to try before you buy it!

Yes, it IS the old Prep H that you can now only get in Canada. Putting the current US brand under your eyes will get them very irritated and even more puffy I've been told.

My grandma got surgery for this...they actualy gave her a brow lift, and it fixed it (i dont know how), so i know surgery does work, it just depends how far you are willing to go.
