I saw the making of Spider Man part 3

Last night me and the man were in the city celebrating our bdays & stayed in a hotel around Wall St. Lots of streets were closed due to the making of the new movie they were filming last night. It was cool to see my first movie in the making, although i've seen shows being recorded but not a movie. And I didn't sleep shit last night bc a bunch of ppl kept screaming last night. They did the same screaming scene, I sware like 10 times until 6am.

I'm so tired. I haven't slept well. Plus I partied my ass off last night & had a wonderful Japanese dinner(which I highly recommend if you're going to be in NYC) before going to this lounge. The restaurant is called "Ninja NY". Rated second best Japanese restaurant in NY. God damn, their dishes were top fawkin' notch. Delish!

Ha ha, welcome to my world. I was on a show once when we did (it felt like) 10,000 takes of the same scene around four o'clock in the morning. I think it was a Saturday night / Sunday morning, and we had an actor laying on the car horn for almost a full minute in each take while the actress walked away from the car. It was in a bad neighborhood - the poor actress had to walk down the street by herself in every take and guys kept pulling up beside her thinking she was a hooker, and we had scary dudes and homeless people all over the place. And here we are at four in the morning laying on the car horn all night. It's a wonder no one was shot.

I was working on another movie a couple summers ago and we were shooting in a residential, lower-class neighborhood in the Valley. A couple of us jokingly told the neighborhood kids we were shooting "Spiderman 2," and the rest of our time at that location was a nightmare. We had kids EVERYWHERE! This one 12-year-old boy sat there all day every day waiting to see Kirsten Dunst, even after we told him that it was a joke and we were in fact shooting a small art pic with no famous people. Even after we reminded him that the Spiderman franchise takes place in New York and not Van Nuys, that kid would not go away.

Adventures in moviemaking. Welcome to the club.

Oh, the good part was that the hotel gave us a discount due to the noise. I didn't get to see any actors though, just a bunch of extras. My bf saw the costume.

It was most likely a stunt guy in the costume, not Tobey Maguire. It may have been second unit, even. Crowd scenes at their best are a pain in the ass; I couldn't imagine doing a crowd scene in the middle of the night in New York. I'd imagine there was a lot of unpleasantness to deal with.

Good on the hotel for giving you a discount, as they could most likely afford it. I'm sure the movie's locations department shelled out big bucks to all the neighbors, including the hotel, so it was the executive producers who actually paid for your discount.

Surprisingly, there weren't unpleasant ppl with shitty attitudes. Which is funny bc NY has the most rude ppl. lol. They just made us walk around the block.

I even had a nightmare that I was getting attacked in the city by those ppl. lol
