Sad So i may have to get a lift...

I had my 3 mo post op apt today and my ps says he thinks I should get a lift. we had discussed it before i got my boobs because of my kids i thought i might need it. He told me to wait til after the implants to see if the implants would lift them enough... i guess they didnt... he can do it so that the scar is in the same place and where it is now, and I would only need a small lift. I am scared though, I am not sure if I want to be cut open again. I am happy with the way my boobs turned out... but I am gonna think it over. just wanted to vent for a min

if you are happy with the result, then isn't that what's important?

lifts are a big deal, and more complicated than the BA (my PS told me that the number 1 reason why people sue for malpractice in plastic surgery is over lifts), so do it because you want it and not because your doctor is telling you to get it.

I have consulted with a few PSs when I am feeling down, and they always tell me everything I could possibly need. I usually leave more self consious than when I went in. I had one talking about eye and chin tucks when I was only 21. They can be nice, but the more surgery you get, the more they make. If you think you look good without a lift, you probably do.

If you like the results then leave them alone! If in a few years you want to get a 'lift' then think about it then...but if your happy...then don't even consider it!

Stripperskipper...I hear you about your experience. I went in for a nose job...came out with some lipo sculpting, chin implant, brow lift and of course my nose done.

He made me feel paranoid about things I hadn't really noticed before...but I do love the results

Again, if your happy with the results why bother with the time, expense, pain and scarring of getting a lift? Getting a lift is a major deal and much more intensive than an implant augmentation. Also, being a stripper and having those scars to cover up is a big pain in the ass. Don't do it unless it is absolutely necessary.

Besides, if it had only been 3 months since your boob job you could still have some fluffing to do. Mine didn't settle entirely until about 6 months post-op.

Post a pic! Most people want their boobs too high...for implanted boobs, I think they almost always look better when they hang a bit low.

I don't think a lift is about making the boobs higher...more like putting the nipple in the right place. I mean, it can be if you're not getting implants, but what happens a lot of times when there is too much skin before a BA (like from weight gain or breastfeeding), the skin on the top part of the breast is too loose, causing the nipple to be too low. Actually, this is just for unders

Or, if you get overs, youc an fill the sag, but supposedly in a few years the whole boob will be too low.

I think Kharisma got unders....but it's all appearances. None of it is for anything other than to make you happy about the way you look.

yes i did get unders. AS soon as I find my camera, i will post a pic, i think my hubby has it... thank you all for your advise. I am gonna do some research and see if it is best for me. Scaring wont be any worse than it is now because my scar is at the top of my aerola and he said he can reopen that inscion to do the lift. I am worried about the pain....

NO! The scar will be worse! Even if you get the smallest lift (which is a crescent lift) that will leave a scar on the whole top hemisphere of the nipple. The most common lift is a benelli lift (this is what I got and I didn't have that much sag...and I was boredline for a full anchor lift), which leaves a scar around the entire nipple.

And of course full anchor is going to leave scars everywhere and is very difficult to heal from.

Do not do the lift unless you want it. I had complications from mine that are not atypical. I had a reaction to the disolvable suture. When I went online to the BL boards, there were many women complaining about the incision opening. This is very hard to do and way harder than a BA. Only get it if you want it because you are happy now and you might not be later.

I agree with the other ladies! If you're happy with them, leave them alone!! Most implants only last 5-10 years, so you can always get a lift when you have them redone.

The main thing is that you're happy with them!
