Can not wearing a bra make your boobs sag later on in life? I have 34 C/D boobs (they fluctuate depending on my cycle) and sometimes I am a hippy girl and don't wear a bra. A lot of people have told me this is a no-no. What do y'all think? Thanks.

I think sagging is genetic. Either you will or you won't.
I'm a 38C who goes braless on occasion too... it's more comfortable in summer and I like the way my boyfriend lights up when he sees me going out braless. I do have to wear a tight shirt for a little support, but he doesn't seem to mind!
I have pointy jiggly boobs (see avatar) so I have worn a bra since 13...if you find that too restaining, wear camisole tops. If you run & do other sports, the ligaments in your breasts will stretch.
I think both genetics and the environment influence your breasts dropping. A few years ago I noticed my breasts (34D) weren't as perky as they used to be, so I started wearing a bra to bed. It definitely has helped!
Speaking only for my own body I would say not wearing a bra more than wearing one does not cause sagging. But keep in mind I am only a B cup.
I never wear a bra at home except a sports one during workouts and I am a pretty big homebody which means I don't wear a bra more often than not.
I do not sag anymore than I did at age 15 and I am going to be 31 in 6 weeks. I have tear drop shape breasts so they slope a little anyway.
My thoughts on bras are that they are nothing more than a culture expectation like makeup.

i think gravity dont help at all lol.. i have alway been scared of this happening and always wear a bra and i mean always even to bed .. im sure it really makes no difference but might help a little i guess i wont know till im older
ooo ooo
I think I have the answer,
From my understanding, sagging can be prevented by a healthy diet, upper-body exercise and good posture. I mean, guess what...it's coming, but like anything I think you can control it to a degree. I keep mine up and separated but try to walk around the house without one... I think, in my head, switching it up keeps them on their toes.
People are not ruled by their memories.

My Mom made me start wearing a bra when I was 10!!!! I hated it. However from about 20 to 28 I never wore one regularly. I have never worn one to bed. The most I have ever weighed was 124 and was a 34C, now I am 103 and a small B. I don't sag and have no stretch marks and I just turned 36.
The reason is, I think; 1. I did always wear a bra during athletic activities, 2. I have been going to gyms or engaging in sports regularly since high school, 3. I do push ups religiously, 4. I have no kids and 5. possible genetics. (I'm not sure about this one)

I belong to the itty bitty titty committee (as evidenced thru my avatar) and don't have alot of sag in my breasts even tho' gravity has played some small part (only I have noticed of course). I generally am bra-less even at work as my dresses are halter neck (preventing me wearing a bra plus they don't need a bra underneath).... and only wear my sports bra when travelling or doing alot of activity (which will cause my boobies to bouce too much in my opinion).
Upper body exercises do help so I try to do a few push ups (even the half body/girly kind) almost every day.

I think not wearing a bra probably has less of an effect than having children. Boobs never look the same after carrying a baby to term.
I believe all sides of the debate...exercise is really important in this equation since wearing a bra alot can mean some muscles loosen due to their lack of activity. Going braless every once in a while is good for ya, I think. A bit of natural bouncing is like a workout on its own. Plus of course the deer-caught-in-lovely-headlights look on the bf's face, as mentioned by Yek, is a great byproduct.
Mine are starting to hang a bit lower than I'd like, as a result of expansive weight gain and then loss. I'm sure I'll have to get a lift eventually, since I yoyo like crazy. Still, I'll love my boobs, even when I'm a little old lady!
I don't know; having read a lot of National Geographic as a kid I'd be inclined to say it has a lot to do with breast feeding and not wearing a bra.
I will be curious to see what happens to my implanted boobs as I get older. I naturally had As, and really didn't have enough for them to even sag. I wonder if the weight of the implants will cause them to sag more so than natural big boobs. I have not been able to find any info about what implants look like when women get old.
This site seems to have a well-researched pro-braless article.
