Default fun stuff in Europe ???

Hi everyone.. I'm getting ready for a two week trip to Europe on Wednesday.I will be in London , Edinburgh and Amsterdam..I was wondering if anyone has been anywhere cool in any of those cities and if there are any must see attractions or clubs? ...We like stripclubs and I've already been to Stringfellows...Also are there any restaraunts or just plain cool stuff to do from anyone who has been there or lives in those areas? We are absolutely flying blind in both Scotland and Amsterdam so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Edinburgh is a beautiful city - and so friendly!!!!! I was there for a week a year ago and loved it! If you like the outdoors, the walk up to Authors Seat is beautiful if you're feeling fit - definatly worth the effort!
One of my favorite things from my whole trip was "The City Of The Dead" tour in Edinburgh. There is an alledged active polterguist in Greyfriars graveyard which had knocked 180 people unconcious within the 6 years prior to the time I was there last year, and injured a further 600 or more. It's one of the worlds most investigated paranormal cases and TCOTD tour group take you right inside The Black Mausoleum where most of the activity has happened. The area is off limits to the public otherwise. The tour is interesting historically aswell as the ghostly features!

I also enjoyed the underground city tours although they sort of get abit repetitive it was interesting to see. They are all advertised along The Royal Mile (-:

Edinburgh = Absolutely gorgeous! You should definitely go to the Edinburgh Dungeon and you should do the tour as aussiepunkshocker suggested. There is so much going on there it's not even worth me typing it all down. Go to the Scottish tourist board website - www.visitscotland.com.

Amsterdam - I've never had the chance to really sample it's delights, but I do hope to do so one day! I hope you have a wicked time.

Funny you say that because it's one of the main reasons we chose to go there!

Amsterdam is amazing, though we only went to one "stripclub" and left within 5 minutes. Lots of good eating and shopping possibilities, and the museums are amazing. What kind of things are you looking to do? There's a book called...umm...lemme look...."Get Lost! The Cool Guide To Amsterdam". It's very inexpensive and gives lots of suggestions for out-of-the-ordinary things to do, you should check it out. Otherwise, we tend to just wander around....I've been there 4 times for a total of about a month and half all put together. It's not a terribly large city to walk around, and the tram system is cheap and easy. Explore!

I love Amsterdam, me and my friend did the typical sex crazed brits thing we started off with the sex museum which was really outrageously fun and then we went dow th infamous red light district and saw a sex shpw at the Moulin Rouge club whic was sooo much fun and then we went to Anne Franks house whcih was really touching and then we finished it off with goin to the Torture Museum. I cannot stress how much of a great city this is!!!

Edinburgh= Burke & Hare is an interesting strip club. More so when you figure out where it got it's name . The Edinburgh Dungeon was Ok...not my favourite though. I wish I'd taken the 'city of the dead' walking tour...that looked cool. It's a walking and looking kind of town...the attraction of the city is that it's so fuckng gorgeous! The setting is really spectacular. Lots of literary history too, if you're into that.

Well I did the daylight (8pm) tour because I had read a fair bit about The mekenzie Polterguist and I was alone so it seemed like the sensible option. (The polterguist seems to like to pick out single people...) Nothing happened on the tour I was on but 2 weeks earlier they had 3 people knocked out in one go!
Anyway after that tour finnished I was feeling really brave so I went on one of the underground city tours. I was the only one in the group who saw and heard and felt some really bizarre things. First I saw a child ghost dancing around the tour guide - that was ok. She later mentioned that this happens sometimes... I felt hot and cold spots and my breathing went a bit awol. Then I heard some awful creaking groaning type noise twice, I don't know where it came from but it made me and the tour guide jump. That was the thing that freaked me out most! Right at the end a very tall and nasty looking character materialised out of nothing at which point I exited pretty quickly, lol! I probably would have felt better if some of the others had seen and heard what I did. When I left I had an odd experience of being followed by something and then I got back to the hostel where I was staying and found that I had a whole dorm to myself, lol! Thank goodness there is only about 3 hours of darkness in Scotland in the summertime
I forget which tour group that was with, but they had a red and black sign if that helps (-:

Aussiepunkshocker.....Holy shit!!! Do you think that is typical or are you more sensitive to that type of thing ? And BTW : I think it's pretty cool that you went alone...very brave.

Lol, I really don't know. I have had one or two other strange (but good!) experiences but I've never thought of myself as more sensitive than anyone else. The only useful thing I can add is that I can see auras - not colours usually, just the aura. I think that training my eyes to see auras more clearly has made me notice a few other things around me which I may have missed otherwise. The ghostly figures and auras are very simular to look at - I think anyway.
