    Default Stop Snoring with Surgery?

Anyone know someone who has had the 'stop-snoring' procedure done?

My bf snores really loud and we can't sleep together all night because of it

I want him to do the surgery.... any info?

I've known some people who had it, and it worked beautifully. My grandfather had it, and it didn't. They tried the surgery twice on him to no avail. What did work on him was a large machine that straps to his face and looks really scary; it forces oxygen into him at a higher rate, so he doesn't snore. It looks frightening though and I'd imagine it makes cuddling difficult. But the surgery does work for some people. Can't hurt to try.

Our old landlord in RI had it done. He had sleep apnea. His wife noticed he would stop breathing in his sleep, mid-snore. So, she had him see a doctor. He had to get it fixed or one day, he wouldn't have woken up pretty much.

He lost SO much weight after having it done, because he couldn't eat. Liquid diet for about 2 weeks.

Everything was repaired though, and he never snored again.

Is your boyfriend a big guy? My Hubby is, and he snores like crazy! Good thing I sleep in the other room, but I can still hear him through 2 closed doors.

I like when my man snores... it's comforting to me.

And the surgery isn't a fail-safe but it can help at least a little.

Yes Rhi, he is a 'lil overweight.

I want him to go to the best place for a consultation on this.
