The worst one I've ever been to was a dark, ugly dive in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The "girls" were just frightening in every possible way and both the customers in the club looked like the kind of guys you'd sell your house to move away from. Semen stains of various age were glowing in the blacklight; the girls were hanging around in pajamas getting drunk while an obese one fingered herself onstage. My bf and I paid $10 EACH to get in. We sat there about one minute and decided to run away, but they wouldn't refund our $20.
There was a big sign just inside the door that said, "Come get your rock soft!" We thought it was a mistake at first, but yeah, it would've taken a guy some serious concentration - on something far away - to get hard in that place.
The worst one I've ever worked at was The Body Shop on the Sunset Strip. Horrible place.
All the worst clubs I've ever worked at are now out of business. (MWhahahahah).

flashers in atlanta was my 1st club i worked in. although the girls didnt finger themselves on the stage (ew, i definitly wouldnt wanna be doing floorwork on THAT stage!), the VIP rooms actually had doors and ANYTHING happened in the rooms. the manager talked so mean to the girls...and i actually decided to quit when one of the girls ran in the back asking everyone for a condom!!! theyre so open about it there! then the manager asked me if i "share"...talk about a dirty club!!! i didnt stay there too long needless to say!
Diamond Dolls in Glasgow. Worst in every way. Worst management, worst customers, worst earning potential...worst.

A club on Saint Thomas USVI where the pole was held to the ceiling by a C-clamp, it was really a dive/front for coke dealers "with a stage"....a crackhead wandered in one night and started doing a Mister Roboto dance next to the stage, the bouncers jumped him & slammed him down onto the stage while a really cool Jamaican dancer jumped up and down & laughed at the scene while dancing.
Even though that was the most dangerous club, I hated the club in Guam even worse. It was the Classic Nightmare In Guam club. In its better days, it was known as "The Brawl Bar" for Air Force & Navy guys.

The worst I've ever visited was the Chez Paree. It's in the most dangerous neighborhood in San Francisco, on the worst street in that neighborhood! They get the most business on their "tranny night". The tranny dancers look waaaaay better than the regular ones, LoL. The worst I've ever worked at? New Century Theater in S.F. Should have NEVER ventured off Broadway!

Nero's in El Paso Texas is the #1 contender for my 'hall of shame'. The bathroom stalls were typically used for getting high and giving extras, so the dancers had resorted to pissing in a garbage can in order to avoid disturbing other dancers and customers in mid-stroke. Needless to say this was a one night only booking !!!!!
A longish stroll down Memory Lane: My first exposure to any strip club was at the tender age of 18, at the Cat West in Oak Grove, Kentucky. My then-boyfriend was in the Army, stationed at Fort Campbell, which straddles the border of Kentucky and Tennessee. This in itself was cause for culture shock. The south was a different world to me, coming from my insulated western suburbs. It was summer, hot and humid, with the sickly sweet smell of flowers and steaming trash in the air. Kudzu ran amuck. All pickups sported a shotgun rack and a young bride in the passenger seat; my boyfriend told me that the age of consent was 14. I saw my first fireflies there.
I had taken a 28 hour Greyhound bus trip from Colorado to get there, and was gnashing my teeth the entire way - filled with the wrath of my first Women's Studies course. Ted had reluctantly admitted that he had occasionally been dragged to this place by his buddies, and I was absolutely livid. My term paper had been on the exploitative nature of porn; its bibliography included the entire catalog of Andrea Dworkin. I considered these excursions of his not only cheating on me but a betrayal of womynkind everywhere, and told him so. And I wanted to see exactly what this was all about.
His roommate in a tract house (he had recently moved off-base) was the fiancee of another Army buddy of his. She had bartended at the Cat, and offered to take me on a field trip there one night while Ted was on duty. What I saw confirmed every prejudice I had and then some. Girls who were obviously underage, girls who were clearly drug addicts, just generally scary, scary girls. Despite my prejudices, I still expected there to be some element of a stage performance there (perhaps I had seen "Gypsy" one too many times), so I was shocked when they got on stage already naked or close to it. Calling what they did once they were up there seemed like a cruel joke to me, after my years of ballet training. BYOB was the norm there, and the bottles of Jack Daniels on the table alarmed me. The 'no-touching ' rule was completely ignored. This was also the very first time I ever saw a shaved pussy - remember, this was over ten years ago, and such trimming had not yet become standard issue. I reported back to my spellbound and horrified women's erotica group (yes, I actually formed one, to try and create an 'alternative to porn'; I'm sure the guys would have been jerking off like mad to our pseudo-racy poesy . . . not) that this was clearly a symptom of the borderline pedophilia of the strip-club patron, an attempt to keep wimmin infantilized in our culture. Seeing these shorn beavers shoved so nonchalantly into customers' faces was beyond my comprehension.
We left the club after less than an hour. Ted's roommate had picked up some young lad, who followed us back to the house and started doing shots as I went to bed. As I stumbled to the bathroom hours later, I caught a glimpse of them making out on the living room floor. The rest of the two-week visit was tense all around, to say the least.
Obvioulsy I've grown up and mellowed out since then, and am actually a lot of fun. Thank God I gave strip clubs another chance! Ten years later, another boyfriend slowly warmed me up to the idea, to the point where I was compelled to do it myself. I'm still a feminist, no doubt about it, but certainly the most sex-positive kind of feminist there is; I routinely and cheerfully shove my own shorn pussy into customers' faces on a daily basis (though I'm prudishly strict about no touching from his end). To be totally fair, the Cat West may very well have improved since the early nineties.
But man, that was still a skanky club.

The Jungle, which frequently changes it's name to Westside Gentleman's club, is located in Tulsa, OK. The dancers aren't the prettiest, or the cleanest, and it is, I joke you not, connected to a $20 per night hotel.
Worst ever worked at? One terrifying shift at Escapades, also in Tulsa. Drug dealers, coke whores, Mexican guys who were drunk and spoke no English (nothing against that, but in that area, it wasn't nice), and girls that literally do everything for thirty dollars RIGHT ON THE COUCH! Anal included, of course. *vomits*
Oh hell you girls have seen some pretty crazy nasty shit : P lol how do they get away with all that, wow.. o.O
I've been to the Seven Seas (Seven Sleaze) here in Tampa. It was 4 a.m. and I was really drunk and REALLY had to pee so I made my bf stop the car. I was curious how bad the place really was and it was nasty. I could see the cellulite across the room in the dark on the girl who was on stage spreading her nude twat in the face of some guy for free and the girl sitting behind me had rolls hanging over the back of her thong. The bathroom was even scarier. There was trash piled up in the trash can and tissues or napkins or something with some kind of yellow staining on it on the top of the pile. GROSS! I ran out of there so fast after I pissed. When we were gone my bf told me that the girls were asking if I was interested in working there when I was in the bathroom. hell no!

Holy crap, you guys, those are some scary stories! So far I've seen some "interesting" places around Baltimore, including the Block;and some in NY,with rats running around in the dressing room and no toilet paper or paper towels, which will remain nameless.
Yeah, when I first started working, my boyfriend suggested I try that place, and when I was adamant in my refusal, because of the stories I'd heard, his response was "Well, you can't always trust everything you hear." (Yeah, but when you've got 20 different people saying the same thing...)Originally Posted by FrustratedBunny
In my opinion, the worst club I worked at was also my first- Taboo Caberet- I stayed 8 months, just cuz I didn't know any better at the time. It generally wasn't that bad of a club, but after the GM was told she couldn't run an adult business anymore, she made the mistake of letting her 20 year old son run it, on the puppet strings of his 30 something girlfriend...I kid you not. Whatever she said, he did. She said keep this one nasty ho cuz she kept making the club lots of money, and when the rest of us complained because she was rude and inconsiderate to some of the customers, they still wouldn't do anything!
The final straw was the day after the Nightmoves Awards in 2001- I woke up the next morning with a raging fever, and called Chase (the mgr) to let him know I was sick and wouldn't be in. Well, I show up for work the next day, at around 11:45, and he doesn't show up til around 12:30 then starts throwing a tantrum (not a fit, a tantrum) about how he had to close cuz he didn't have any girls come in the day I was sick, and how would we feel if he just decided that he wasn't going to open today?! I said fine, go ahead...I quit. And he says- you can't quit- you're fired!

Yeah, four years later, and I still remember that part..lol Anyways, I found out that a month after I left (since I was their last dependable gal), the club folded...the building now houses Lipstixx, which, if you're from Tampa, you know what a wonderful example of a strip club that place is!
Age is only important when it comes to wine and whiskey!

I would have to say the worst club I danced in was the one I stayed at for two years in Austin! XTC Cabaret is an all-nude BYOB and the building was decrepit, the girls varied wildly in quality, the management was either passive or frustrated by their inability to do anything, extras were available in the VIP, and the crowd was rowdy. The bathroom was awful, with broken tile in the floors (finally fixed after one dancer sprained her ankle tripping on it), and the dressing room was moldy. The whole building was ancient and falling apart.
However, I made good and easy money there and so I stayed. And of course that's what makes a craphole tolerable!
The worst one I've been to . . . huh, even in dives I have a good time, and the diviest bars I've been to have been in Portland, and the dancers have been fun, so it was all good.
I look forward to badpixie contributing her thoughts on the Double Dribble; she described it as being amongst the dregs of humanity or something to me.
There are a couple of doozys in BC, but I tend to like the dives too.
The worst I've heard of here is the Marlane in Castlegar, where the ceiling is low, the pole is part of the actual plumbing, the floor is concrete, the chairs are legion-style, and the manager is apparently an asshole who will short you on your contract. Girls sleep in their cars rather than in the provided hotel lodging, so it's said.
The Somass in Port Alberni BC is legendary as a kind of hellish place...I worked there as a rookie. A dancer was murdered there in the 90's, in one of the dancer rooms (there are 3). She was bludgeoned by her boyfriend. When I was there I was in the only room with new carpeting![]()

I've worked at a couple here in WI that are pretty bad. At one of them the manager was a total bitch and all the girls there just seemed like they hated their jobs. It looked like they never cleaned the place, and I kept getting yelled at for breaking asinine rules (such as giving a customer a kiss on the cheek). I couldn't even relax and enjoy myself for fear that I would do something wrong. I made around $90 and the only reason I made that much was because I had a regular come in and tip me $40 or $50.
At another club I worked at for only a couple days, they only had TWO girls working on a Saturday night-myself and one other girl. They had a really hard time getting girls to work at this club and it was common for them to only have one or two dancers a night. The other girl was nice, but she had really saggy boobs and rolls everywhere, and the place got no business. It never got busy in there, not even on the weekends. What really sucked is that the VIP room only cost $50 for 30 minutes, and the dancers only get $30 of that. Great deal for the customers-not so much for the dancers! Customers rarely tipped you on top of that too. I was in VIP for an hour straight one night and only got $60! What a ripoff.
There's another club in Oshkosh, WI that I've never worked at, but I've been to as a customer. This place is notorious for having really overweight, ugly girls. I'm talking 250 lbs. and up. The dancers there pressure the customers constantly to buy them drinks (which cost more than at most strip clubs), and it's basically a front for a whorehouse since the dancers can't make any money by just dancing. A friend of mine has gone in there a couple times by himself, and both times, dancers have told him to go rent a motel room and for $100, they'll stop by after their shift and he can have anything he wants.
"An affront to human dignity." Has to be seen/smelled to be appreciated. Lots of grimey guys who think good conversation consists of staring at you open-mouthed and smiling, and perhaps responding to any of your questions with "hi" or "yeah". Skanky old trolls asking to borrow your shoes, because they came in wearing street clothes.Originally Posted by Susan Wayward

The worst one in London is called the Flying Scot, it's near Kings Cross station { a dodgy area though being rebuilt due to the Paris rail link and the Olympics}. It's very scruffy and full of all sorts of wierdos, the changing facility consists of 2 steps per dancer on the stairs. There is no DJ or bouncer, the glasses are plastic normally and the gents toilet was aparently the inspiration for the one in the film Trainspotting !

The worst one I worked at was a place called "Caeser's Gentlemens Club" in Jacksonville, Florida. They had a trash can in the dressing room for girls to piss in while having perfectly decent restrooms to use. I was in the dressing room retouching my make-up and I saw a girl sitting over in the corner floor (this is not a dressing room you would even dare sit on the floor). She got up and the most awful smell was coming from her. I looked down and saw that she had shit in the floor. It was all runny and coming down the back of her legs and covered her bottom. Once the manager was informed of what happened he told the girl to pack her shit and get out. I don't think he realized what he said but it sounded funny.

Worst club ever:
Outer limits in Hattisburge Mississippi ( just south actually )
They had high school cafeteria tables and some plastic lawn chairs. The floor was plain old, unsmoothed concrete. It looked like it had been poured and just let dry.
The stage was high off of the ground and duct taped in places. Duct tape also held the pole in place and after my first stage set it wiggled so much I thought I was going to have a collision with the floor.
Next and all time worst club ever. The Lady Horseshoe in Biloxi Mississippi. Oh. My God.
Don't even think about working here if you are remotely cute. The hags that actually do work there will try to kill you.
They sell conversation tickets, so there's no mingling at all. You can't even hold your own money. Ten dollar dances and the club gets half of. Yes ladies, thats right - half. It is a nude club but you must also wear a cover-up that has to be so many inches long. ( I forget, this was a long time. After I had all of this explained to me by some old woman ( who was the waitress) who's face resembled the underside of some worn out tire tread I ran. Far, far away. Sad thing was she actually expected me to -want- to work there.

Yeah...diamond dolls was easily the worst.
I also didn't care much for the club in Cranbrook. They wouldn't put you on for a full show unless they had 25 drinking customers, the dj was always power tripping, and the room that we were staying at was absolutely foul.
1. Mulligan's in Missoula Montana- Now closed. They had homelss people flopping there (for the cost of the $2 cover), and the dancers had to waitress as well as strip. The building was also decrepit and falling apart. There was a structal support that mostly obscured the stage. Out of business since 1999.
2. Showboat Showclub in Anchorage Alaska, Now closed- let's just say I feel lucky to be alive after working at this club!
3. Catawack Jack's, Now closed- Middle of nowhere, Georgetown Lake, Montana. This place was a tiny roach motel that was dying, and decided to have strippers 4 nights a week to try and drum up some business. It was very remote, the owner was a lecher, and the customers were creepy. Dancers were forced to live on premise during their work week, and many turned tricks in their little motel rooms-YUCK!
4. Webb's Pub, Portland Oregon, Now closed. On the surface it seemed like a great place, but the girls were frequently on drugs or drunk, no lockers were available, the dressing room was smaller than my walk in closet- and the club would run 25 dancers a night. On the up side, they had no tip out or house fees, and they paid dancers who worked at least 6 hours an additional $20. Open schedule meant the dancers could come and go as they please... Which ususally meant going to the motel down the street.

The worst club i worked at was my 1st. It was the millenium club in martinsburg westvirginia. The manager was a fat nasty bitch who was always coked up, the girls used the champagne room for an extra room, the customers sold coke and weed and did it there to. The girls would have sex in the bathroom while customers were waiting to use it. Tampons left on the floors.
