    Default Motivation

    i know this is a fairly common topic...but I was wondering...when all you want to do is sit on a couch and watch movies and eat...what motivates yout o get off your ass and workout?


    (I'm in a "i hate exercise rut" [normally I LOVE working out] and I need some help getting my ass up!)

    1) putting on my running shoes...eventually I'll make my way out the door
    2) tuning into Discovery Health Channel and watching bio's about obese people

    There are days I dont want to do shit. So, I combat those feelings by taking little steps. I convince myself to take a shower, put on my workout clothes +socks, and plan a workout I can do easily that wont take more than 1.5 hours to complete.

    Go to sleep with your workout clothes on...you can then just wake up and stumble to the gym.

    Give yourself a reward for working out. Maybe a small scoop of ice cream before going to bed, or a glass of wine.

    Make friends at the gym. You'll want to go more often if you're meeting up with friends.

    But the best thing that works for me? Go shopping and pick up some cute new workout clothes. You'll then want to have a reason to wear them!

    I have sex. It's a workout, it's fun and there's always someone else there to motivate you!

    LOL! I do the EXACT opposite.. I watch shows with really sexy/athletic chicks, that motivates me to want to look like them! Although I pretty much already do by now.

    OMG I used to do this all the time when I was in the Army. I am going to start doping it agin. It will make it hard to "forget" to work out!

    A little shopping trip to BEBEsport does the trick for me.
