    Default Loss of appetite

I havent been hungry for the past week or so. I know i need to keep fed especially on days i work but its like i have to force feed myself. I want to eat but the idea of eating sounds gross. I am not on meds or anything but i am going through a stressful emotional time. any advice on how to get my appitite back or foods that are easy to eat?

That happened to me once. Start taking vitamins, and do very light exercise, and drink lots of water and get lots of sleep. Also when you CAN eat, eat fruit or small amounts of grains. No fats or processed sugar. It sounds to me like you have a stomach or intestinal bug. If the problems persist or you notice any new symptoms, def. consult a doctor.

Protein shakes are easy to eat..not the best meal, but better than going without.

Salads and soups are easy for you to get down. Or snack on some fruit. I would say protein though because it keeps you full longer.

You say you're going through a tough time. Sorry to hear that, and stay strong. But loss of appetite is a sign of depression, so you may want to get counselling for that.

I'm never ravenously hungry anymore, but if I don't really feel like eating I make some of my absolutely favourite foods and that motivates me

Oh also, putting salt/spices on your food makes you eat more...that's why those wily restaurants use so much of it. And coffee/caffeine supresses your appetite...maybe that's it?
