    Default Customer Rant

So last night was my 3rd night in a row working, wouldn't be so bad if we didnt have to work 9 hours, pay an outragous stage fee and be hassled by the managment all the time. Anyways, I am bruised the stage at this club totally sucks and beats the shit out of you..

This guy comes in with 5 of his buddies, pisses off a few girls and its my turn. (Keep in mind this is a contact bar) I go up do my thing and then get on the lip of the stage and put my feet on his thighs and he grabs my knees (which are cut up and swollen and bruised to shit) and says"why are you so bruised up?", while HITTING my knees. In pain I dig my heels into his thighs and scoot back. Apparently this hurt him because he rolled his chair back making my lower half of my body go with him and I had to grab and pull myself back before I fell on the damn floor.

Then he tells me I am being mean to him and still wants to know why I am bruised and why I am being mean to him.

What the hell, all weekend we had nothing but a sack full of assholes in that bar.

    Ok, Im done.

I bruise very easily and always have. Whenever customers ask why, I tell them one of the following: "the stage beat me up," "my parachute didn't open," "I should never have bought that baby tiger," or "at least my arm grew back." If they have a sense of humor, you might still get a dance. If not, then you leave them confused and silent. Either way, it works. Then again, I can't say what I'd do if a customer was actually poking at the bruises... perhaps that's what bouncers are for?

When in shock, grab their nose, look into their eyes and say the barest message possible in a calm voice: "you're hurting my knees." Doesn't matter how drunk they are, this tends to make guys listen, like "what?!? You've got my NOOOOOSE!!!"

It brings their focus down to what's going on right in front of their face (which is you saying something they need to pay attention to) and as long as you don't have a death grip on their nose, you can laugh it off and not alienate them. Maybe try, "now, if I let your nose go will you be a good boy?"

    Also works for:
    "NO. TOUCHING."
"NO. I will not sleep with you. stop asking."

Was it a full moon? I didnt even notice or pay attention.. God lets hope this weekend is better, if I have 2 more shitty weeks Im done. For the amount of money I am making in that club it isnt worth my time to deal with the bullshit the men give.
