    Exclamation Help Me Please

I've stripped a couple of weeks ago in the town that I'll be moving to shortly (Toronto). The club is upscale, with very pretty and young girls who look like pros on the stage. I'm 18 years old, attractive, and clueless about this job. I'm such a shy girl and don't know what kind of things to say to customers and what they wanna hear.. so i always ended up with the old ones who loved my friendly personality... but i just didn't seem like a "stripper"... those girls seemed to be the ones making the most cash. Also, when i was away i paid not to go on stage because i was so scared and didn't know what to do. I'm so inflexible.. don't know what type of moves to do, and don't know anything about pole dancing. I really wanna learn how to be successful at this job just like you all are Please give me your expert advice on talkin the stripper talk and putting on a great stage show.

Well, I remember being exactly where you are. Here's a couple things that helped for me:

Make sure your stripper-self is a seperate entity from your real-self. Take all the things you love about yourself, and build on that. When you walk through those doors, you need to be a confident, classy, well-spoken, approachable sex kitten. Some girls are very good at marketing girl-next-door... but when it comes down to it, as you have seen, the money isn't there unless you are a real pro at it.

As far as your stage show, pay attention to what other girls do. Borrow some of the moves you like. Play music that reflects the taste of the crowd, not necissarily yours. The only exceptions I can think of are the girls that play the domme/goth thing, and their entire persona revolves around that. Also, certain girls dress very beach-bunny and play that type. You know what I mean.

Take the DW seminar or home course. I'm about to order it myself, but I have heard SOOO many rave reviews on this, it is unbeleivable.

Talk to a CPA - I mean it. As an 18 year old in this profession, you have the potential to make SERIOUS cash. Talk to him about what you can deduct from your taxes, how to budget, saving so you can retire, etc.

Mostly, have fun! This is a great opportunity and time in your life. It will all come to you.
