There is not big consistent money in this business anywhere.
Bridgette's analogy is right on, but you very well will have more nights of making 0 than $1000. Work 10 days/ nights there with more girls than customers, and you may have 5 nights where you lose money or make between 0-$100, 2-3 days /nights where you make $100-$300, and 2 nights where you make $300+.
This business is on the decline, and the problem is many girls are still being misled into thinking money is flowing in it like in 1996.
If you were to get a dancer earning average from EVERY club in this country AFTER payouts and housefees are made, I would bet the average dancer earnings are less than $150 a night.
I have not been around any dancers in A LONG TIME who AVERAGE $600-$800 a night AFTER TIP OUTS. Especially in a club with $10 dances. And what I mean by average is adding up EVERY day worked since the beginning of the year, good AND bad and dividing it by the number of days worked. Anyone who honestly nets that much per night should be thankful and had better stay put, not look for greener pastures. There are NONE!!!
Most girls nowadays who work full time and who work the floor HARD, given the fact that some nights are notoriously slow, AVERAGE between $200-$400 a night. And the ones with STEADY AVERAGE earnings closer to the $400 level have established regulars who account for probably 1/3 of what they make a month.
