Bleh.. Maybe he can convince NBC to do a "Saved By The Bell" reunion so he can have work again and pay his bills. Haha
I have no idea who that is. None. Name doesn't ring even a faint bell. But with a couple billion people in this world with inadequate housing that doesn't come close to a $250K mortgage call, the chance of my contributing to this bozo is pretty slim, in the sense that "slim" means "zero."
I'm ashamed that I know who he is, Jay. It's "Screech" from "Saved By The Bell", that teeny bopper show from the 90s. Bleh.
What the fuck did he spend his money on? It seems like they would have been making pretty good bank.
Hell, screech even made it to the New Saved By The Bell (now Rhiannon, you have nothing to be ashamed of if even *I* know that.)
I do wonder if his house is for sale in one of the "Foreclosed Homes For Sale" google ads that show up on his site.
I wonder how much money one can get panhandling on the internet. Gary Coleman did it I heard. Some chick did to pay her bills too if I remember right.
I heard some students did a study and found that they could make more $ begging on the street than with most straight jobs they could get.
Oh yeah, Save Karen, right, Deo?
I never did watch "The New Class". Once the old crew left and only Screech and Mr Belding were left, I lost interest. I liked picking on the fairy boys (Slater and Zack).
I'd rather give change to the panhandlers on the street here, than give $$ to that idiot. If you spent all your money on shit, too bad. Good luck, loser!
BTW: The site seems to be down right now. Serves him right I guess...

Mr. Belding was a dick.Originally Posted by Rhiannon

Famous?
I never heard of the guy.

I don't think he made very much money from the show at all, and that was basically all he ever did, no movies or much of anything after that. Plus, considering that he hasn't really worked for years, I'm surprised he wasn't broke earlier.
If anyone saw the production values on SBTB, I'm sure they weren't spending the money they saved on cardboard sets and K-Mart clothes on the "talent". Like with a lot of shows, most of the money probably went right to the producers. It's not like Screech was one of the "Friends" or Kelsey Grammer or Ray Romano making a million PER EPISODE. I'd be surprised if those kids on the show made more than $10K an episode, if that. That's maybe a quarter mil a year BEFORE taxes, paying a cut to their manager and agent and living on the remainder for years after. Think before y'all trash.

Poor screech. lol. I'm still not donating.
I believe you Dottie and you have my support

At least he's actually selling T-shirts at $15 bucks or $20 bucks a pop rather than just asking for money.
Regardless, I don't care and will not buy a shirt.

I'm still waiting to see who the *famous* star is...
Well, a Land Contract is a contract between you and the property owner...or the person who holds the current mortgage on the contract. It can go for x amount of years and the idea behind the land contract is that x amount of $$ from your monthly rent payment would go into escrow to be used as a down payment at the closing date. A land contract is usually given a value either under the CURRENT land value or a reasonable estimate of future value. But, you cannot reneg on it because the value is more than you thought it would be.Originally Posted by Guenevere
You cannot void a land contract simply because the property value rises. It's a legal document and unless the person who signed the land contract cannot get financing, the contract is strong. You cannot sign a land contract promising to pay $135,000 and then have them come back and say, "If you don't pay $250,000 in 30 days, we're kicking you out." It's illegal.
Either way, the dude is lying. If he had a land contract, then he should be fighting this in the courts to pay what the land contract says. OR...he's paying rent (and has a LEASE) and the landlord told him if he wanted to buy the house, he'd have to buy it for $250,000. But, there is no way that he has an actual, legal land contract and is being "evicted" out of his house. Unless, his contract is almost up and he just cannot get financing.
Shiiiiit...maybe I should make up some sob story and sell t-shirts online. LOL He did say that he's still doing stand-up comedy...which is probably why he's still broke since he's no funnier than a crayon melting in the sun. Did he ever think to suck it up and work at a McD's or something??

VG, judging by the fact that he has bad credit, he probably payed late enough that they could accelerate the payments.
You are describing more of a lease option. A land contract is a sale however you don't transfer the deed, till it is paid of, or X amount is paid off. It makes foreclosure extremely easy. There is quasi legal, more complicated reason people do this, and I'm inclined to believe that is why he is in this predicament.
Some girls from the local U were panhandling in their bikini's. I hear they were making bank - till the police started showing up regularily.Originally Posted by FrustratedBunny

We have a local nightclub in town that books obscure acts every so often. DD (Screech) was there a few years back for something, although I don't remember what. All I know is when an entertainer is resigned to playing my podunk little burg, their career has definitely hit the skids...headfirst.
And Jada Pinkett Smith was there just a couple of weeks ago with her heavy metal band. I'd say look for her house to be foreclosed next, but if she were having financial difficulty, I think her hubby could cover her. (Will was allegedly here with her, but I can't confirm that).
And while I thought Screech was cool and all, sorry I'm not buying a shirt.
Former SCJ now in rehab.

he's a stand up comedian now..that's probably why he was at that club
