Default The only thing holding me back

Hi, I've been reading the posts and learning alot! This place is just great!

I have not danced yet and really want to, I have gotten several outfits and shoes. I even have a pole at home, I am really happy with my looks except for one thing. And its the one thing that I am so self conscious about that I can't just work up the nerve to just go audition. I'm sure I pay more attention to it than anyone else would but I just feel it detracts away from everything else. I am 5'1, 135, I have long blond hair 34 C, and I am really happy with this. But I have these two rolls of fat on the middle of my back. Now you cannot see it when I stand up straight, but any other way I move you can see them. Especially when I rotate my hips. But I can feel them and this is the worst! Is there any excercise I can do to get rid of them? I really don't want to lose a lot of weight, I'm happy with my weight. I've crunched and done ab workouts endlessly, but this isn't working the right area. Other than this I've worked out all my other issues with my body/looks and I'm ready to dance. I'm just going to all the clubs around to see which one I'd like to dance at the most.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I think they wont even care...theyll be looking at your boobs anyways. Cardio is the best way to get rid of back fat. I used to have it bad. 30-45min of cardio 4-5 days/week should clear that right up.
When youre on stage dont even think about it. Watch to see whos looking at you to see who you should talk to after stage. This way youll be productive instead of negative.

You can change your diet to eat more healthy and clean without losing weight. Just eat more lean protein (chicken breast, tuna, egg whites, flank steak, protein shakes) and eat healthy carbs (natural oats, brown rice, sweet potato) and all the fruits and veggies you want. Use www.fitday.com to track your calories. Find out what your maintenance is for calories and just make sure your calories are online with that. That way you won't lose weight (if you don't want to), but you will lose the excess fat.

As for exercises for the back: Row, hyperextensions, and lat pulldowns will aid in building muscle to hide the fat rolls.

If you have any other questions about these exercise or diet pm me. I am a bodybuilder/fitness competitor. I know what I am talking about.

Here check out this link. http://www.oxygenmag.net/showthread.php?t=17898

The only one that isn't listed there is the hyperextension. The hyperextension can be done on a ball or on the equipment at the gym. you basically lay on an exercise ball on your belly, toes on the ground, hands criss-crossed on chest or behind your head, lay down all the way (bent over the ball), then straighten yourself until you are completely straightly aligned. Hold for 3 seconds, and repeat. Do 3 set of 10 reps at first. Once you get the hang of it and it is easy then start holding a weight across your chest as you raise yourself up.

hey girl. sounds like you're ready to start. i put my audition off forever, for any excuse i could find. I can just about promise you hands down, that back fat or not, if you go ahead and dance, you'll love it so much that you'll wonder why you let something like that keep you from doing what you are so driven to do. I worked in a club with a variety of body shapes and sizes. The largest girls still sold dances and were great entertainers--even boobless people like me!!

I know you have to live in your body... so i cant tell you not to worry about it, because you probably still will... but let me encourage you to just go for it anyway. Dancing is a great workout in and of itself. My body changed immensely after just two weeks of dancing three nights a week for six hour shifts. There's no such thing as looking and being the pro BEFORE you enter the biz. Get in and start your adventure. And good luck.
