    Leogirl,

Reading your posts, I'll guess your mind is on dancing a lot of the time you're not actually in the club. The money you're earning there is important to your long term plans, and hence I suspect you're forever thinking of ways and means to maximise your earnings. I'll also guess that because dancing can be stressful, you spend a certain amount of time reliving the less pleasant aspects of your job.

Looks like you're having trouble switching off from being a dancer cos you're thinking about it all the time.

Also looks like you're working a lot of hours: Monday to Friday job, then at least three nights in the club, (Fri, Sat, Wed). Have you set aside a bit of time for yourself? Everyone needs to have a bit of time to put their feet up, drink a bottle of wine and laugh with friends. Aare you giving yourself enough time to relax - have you got at least one "do-nothing-much" evening set aside for yourself every week?

Several dancers have become friends of mine. What I've noticed with them, is that when I give them a lift home, they have a good old moan to me about the venue, idiot customers, other girls, etc. They know I keep my mouth shut, and hence get the tension out of their systems before they get home - no need to bottle up their frustrations.

Have you got someone you really trust that you can confide in from time to time? Sometmes, just being able to talk about a problem puts it into proportion.

    Phil.

No, I don't really have much time set aside for myself. I've realized that's what I have to do. I've decided that I"m going to take one weekend off a month and make it just for me. Because all the other times I'm working in my day job, running a small business on side, dancing, keeping my house clean, organizing, paying bills, going to the doctor, studying for this test coming up, etc. Aaaahhhh!!! I guess when I think about it, I have always taken on more than I should, I've always been that way. I'm going to take your advice. I'm taking this weekend off! Ooooo, can't wait!

PsyMjr ,,,how do you know she is "obviously" performing because she is in a stressful situation? She does have another job. Maybe that is true for some but not all.

And that I get hit on so many times in the club that when I'm not in the club, I really don't even want to deal with the guy(s), even if he's cute, sometimes I feel like wanting to charge for my time.

I'm nearly 30 and under certain circumstances that have happened over the past few years have wound up in some credit card debt and no much left in savings.

Thanks! I'm going in tonight. I'm going to hustle my ass off since I'm taking this Friday off and possibly Saturday. It's going to really hard for me to take the advice though because always in the back of my mind I'm thinking, if I just went in tonight, I could come home with maybe $300-$800. My I know, I have to take care of myself too. I haven't been stressing about making "walk out" which is the kickoff to start the night girls. At my club if you miss walkout, they charge you $25 but I'm to the point, who cares about $25. That's usually one to one & half table dances. I'd rather take my time getting ready, take a nap before I go in and of course, visit all you guys on SW!!!! hehehe!

Being two people isn't an easy thing to do. Have you ever roll played? Like AD&D, MERP? or played a
multi user roll playing game? You need to remember whatever your stage name is, is a fictional character
she isn't real. I guess an easier way to say it is "Don't Forget Your Roots." I have taken a lot from
my fictional characters I have created in the clubs I have worked in, Confidence, Ego, Self Esteem,
not letting guys run any shit on me.. etc
I have also taken a lot from my roll playing characters, but tempting a stable boy with a gold coin
to set him on fire isn't something I would do IRL (in real life) but man was it amusing. I also
wouldn't go into serious detail about my fictionional lesbian relationship with a really cute blonde.
giggle, just make sure you don't lose yourself in the fantasy.

    I do that too! Hahaha.

And whenever I'm at a party, I end up dancing like I'm on stage. You know, all slow and posing. Haha, wow.

This definitely happens and has happened to me for awhile. Sometimes it makes me feel like a stuck up beyotch wanting to charge people OTC for my time. Also, even when people are being polite, sometimes I feel like they have ulterior motives. It sucks, but it comes along with the job. I guess your outlook, in general, can play a major factor in how you interpret other's attention, as well. Sometimes if I'm in a good mood I don't mind men checking me out, etc..as long as they don't make any rude comments. Other times, especially if I've just had an incident with someone at work, it bugs the hell out of me.
