    Default Philosophy Mineral Makeup

Has anyone here tried the mineral makeup from Philosophy? Is it as good as Bare Minerals? Also is the neutral #1 similar in color to Bare Minerals Fair or Light 1.2 ?

I was thinking of giving it a try but I don't have a store or even a Sephora within driving distance to compare colors. I can't get a good feel for the color from the DrugStore.com website either so I thought I'd check here to see if anyone could help.

I need a fair to light shade. Also do I need to finish with a mineral veil if I use the Philosophy makeup?

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

i used to use this stuff but i have to say bare essentials is way better. i felt like philosophy caked on too easily and i broke out. if you want to go a bit cheaper go to target or cvs & try physicians formula mineral foundation powder. as far as mineral veil goes if you have a problem with shine you might keep wth mv by bare essentials, or model in a bottle, photofinish by stila?, or just oil absorber blotting sheets that you can buy at the drug store

Eh, I have it. Not too crazy over it. After this one is done i'm gonna use Bare Minerals and give that one a shot already.

I love my Bare Minerals but I am also a fan of many a Philosophy product so I thought I'd give their makeup a try too.

I don't want to waste my hard earned money on the wrong color so maybe I will just wait until I can visit a store that sells it rather than buy online.

    Thanks for the replies though!

one of the other girls on the site turned me on to this. they also sell on ebay, and they're happy to do exchanges for different colors in their kits. it works great, though it doesn't really last all day. it goes on evenly and looks good, though. and it's much cheaper than bare minerals.
