Since when do laws affect club management and how they conduct business? House fees, Stage fees, mandatory tip outs, forced schedules, and fines are all illegal.

Then you've got crap like one club I worked at that wouldn't let you bring your own *non-alcoholic* beverages in. I'm talking cans of soda or bottled water. The dancers were forced to purchase all hydration from the club.

I have been tempted to try drugs while working, but never did anything more hard core than getting drunk. But I can totally see how that could be habit forming. Time just flew by and I had a lot of fun when I was sh*tfaced . It only happened a couple of times at a crappy club I was working at.

It seems like the more a club's MO pushes dancers into extras (high house fees, insane compition, cheap ass customers) the more drug using dancers you will find in that club.

Most employers however will cover themselves by making the employee sign a statement upon condition of their employment, which states the employee has been made aware that they have no expectation of privacy which gives the employer the authority to conduct such searches.
    Dancers aren't employees.

Crank, meth, ice, all the same thing. Brake fluid, antifreeze and drain cleaner.

My club searches the bag of EVERY dancer before she comes into work. The dancers mostly talk about smoking weed like it's nothing- but they never admit to doing anything more.

Although I have seen a dancer snorting in the bathroom. So one way or another, you can sneak something in.
