Okay, so I'm guilty of telling customers my real name. It just doesn't bother me. But I always make it clear that "Ashley" is the name that I go by at work, and that is what they need to call me.
Last week, one of the waitresses at work directed me to a table because someone asked for me. Or so I thought. When I approached the gentleman, he said, "Oh, I'm sorry, I wanted the 'other Ashley.'" I explained that I'm the only "Ashley" at the club and he must be mistaken. He described a girl that introduced herself as "Ashley," and everything about her was opposite me...dark hair, skinny, etc...we both shrugged and then he bought several dances from me. No biggie.
Last night, I was called to go see one of my floor hosts, because again someone had requested "Ashley." By the time I made it downstairs (about 1 1/2 minutes, tops) he had gone with another girl. She was skinny and had dark hair. I didn't put it all together until after he was done getting dances from her and I approached him and said, "You were looking for Ashley." He said, "Oh, I already found her, thanks." WTF??
Let go of your real name; be your stage name at work! It is confusing for the customers, girls and support staff if you insist on having people call you by your real name, especially if someone already dances by it! Lucky for me, I actually made some money off of her mistake!![]()

Or maybe its her fake "real" name?
It would be damn easy money ... they always tend to shut up after that.
