Default Dark vision of the future

Just making three phone calls and getting all voice mails, I had a disturbing vision of the future. People walking around with cell phone implants connected to their cerebral cortex: ring tones going off in their brain, downloading material to their memory, and closing their eyes and viewing dropdown menus. This was my brains eery solution to the unanswered call. Wasn't this what cell phones were invented for, I still get voice mails all the time. I wonder if we'll still use viocemails when the phones are in our brains. (BTW, these were all call-backs, so they want to talk to me ASAP).
