Default Are all DejaVu's the same?

    Sooo...
I live in Seattle, which means I have very few options (if any) if I want to find a clean club (that's run relatively fairly). Almost every club near Seattle has a bad rep, but there are some Deja Vu's within an hours drive.
I worked at one in Tacoma and fucking hated it. $5 off each dance and dance specials every hour were the main deal-breakers for me. So: are all Deja Vu's run the same? Should I bother looking for a "better" one?

Not all Deja Vu's are the same. Most are awful and the rest are just shitty.

Have you thought about the Lusty Lady in Seattle?

As a former girl from Deja Vu Nashville, some suck. Some suck more. That's the only difference. I am so glad I am not there anymore.

I have a dumb question. Are Deja Vu and Hustler Clubs connected? I think I remember reading this somewhere . . .

Yes. Deja Vu owns Hustler clubs - they just lease the NAME from Flynt/Hustler.

    Hustler
    Barely Legal

    All Deja Vu

Oy. There are rumors that our club might be "working with" Hustler in the near future; any actual info on what this might entail is being kept deliberately vague.

This doesn't bode well, does it?

Well, I know about the $5 off songs, but the way they work it at the Deja Vu down here in Tampa is the single dances, then there's 4 for 100 rooms and $300 half hour rooms, all in all not that bad, especially with the way mgmt seems to actually give a shit about the girls half the time!

From what I've heard from others, they are pretty bad. My club really seems to be the exception to the rule though. They treat the girls great, everyone gets along well. They really run a tight ship in my club. No contact, means no contact in my club.

Heidi, they take $5 off of every dance you do...well how about $7? Every $20 dance they take $7. Here is our scale.

    $20 - $7 payout
    241 - $7
    $25 - $10
    $30 - $12
    $150 VIP 30min - $50 payout

They fees are excessive. This is the only club I've ever worked and I like it here. We have a low-turnover rate of girls. Some girls come and go, but they treat the girls well here so they dont' leave. I'd much rather stay here and work with people I get along well with, than work somewhere were they dont give a f*** less about me, and I make just a little bit more $$$

^^^ also dancers should be aware that Deja Vu is a national chain ... that a particular club in that chain has run afoul of labor / pay / taxes and was 'pursuaded' to settle ... that another particular club recently attempted to sue a rival clubowner for $5 million in damages over political payoffs leading to selective law enforcement ... plus at least two more Deja Vu lawsuits against city govt's in Ohio and Kentucky over anti-strip club ordinances that drew national media attention ... and that this adverse publicity (as well as the pain generated towards gov't agencies/officials) vastly increases the probability that the entire chain could be the subject of increased attention from the LE establishment as well as the IRS.

We had a Deja Vu in Toronto for awhile.. it was short lived. From what i've heard from the girls that worked there it was awful. So I guess its a common theme for the chain.

Most Deja Vu clubs are full nude, with no liquor licenses. Thus they fullfill only 50% of what most custoemrs want in clubs, which is full nude dances with the ability to get a drink. I have heard that as a corporate owned chain they don't want the hassle of dealing with liquor license politics in each jurisdiction where they have a club. As a practical matter it would be hard to keep track of local politics from a central corporate HQ. They thus avoid the matter and problems of liquor licenses.

I have never gone in one of their clubs again because I disagree with the business plan,
and I want at least a drink or two. If its a choice of a Deja Vu or a topless pastie club with a bar, I'll do the local club without exception.

The Toronto one had liquor.. then again all of Toronto is full nude, full contact with full bar. We're spoiled here

I hate to butt in, I went to a Deja Vu in Ypsilanti, Michigan and Kalamazoo. Very high hustle environment and the hourly specials pressured me a bit. Sometimes I like to kick back and chill out, and it was hard to do that in those clubs.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that part. In Nashville they do "mystery" dances every 2 sets or so, where all the girls have to go around and ask the guys for dances. You get in trouble for sitting with a guy or not asking the majority of the customers, which sucks. As far as prices went, when I was there it was

    $10 "special" dance-$4 payout
    $20 dance-$7 payout
    $30 dances-$15 payout
There is no VIP or anything like that.

Like cinammonkisses, I like my dejavu owned Huslter club. The managers treat us really well, it is very safe, and they fire girls for giving extras. We do have full nudity and alcohol at my club. We do have all those specials but they are not too often and we don't have to do them.

House fees are a little high, but it really is the best club overall in my area and there are alot over here. They only charge us 10% of dances, so it is better than others listed. I visited the dejavu Hustler in NYC and did not like it and wouldn't work there. So--no--not all dejavus are the same. Try it out before you judge.

I just started working at a Deja Vu, my first club experience.

My club has it's goods and bads. I love my management, they are all very sweet and our head manager is very protective over us.

We have a strict no sex, no "extra" touching policy.

However, the payout is a son of bitch. I was shocked by how much of our money we had to fork over.

    It's a toss up.

So if you have $100 you'll probably only pay $20-$40. Keep all dance money and they take $30 from each VIP. CRs are where they rape you. For each $250 CR, I keep 160, except if they made by CC in which case I'll keep $130. Grrrrrr. Rules are pretty fair and no mandatory tip out which is nice. No extras. I like Deja Vu.
Yay for no extras! How much are dances, $20? and you keep the whole $20? How much/long are VIPs?
