    Default RIP Aaron Spelling

You know, it's funny... When the news of his stroke broke last week, I remember thinking he wouldn't recover.

    LOS ANGELES (Reuters)

Prolific television producer Aaron Spelling, whose shows such as "Beverly Hills 90210" and "Dynasty" helped shape U.S. prime-time television, died on Friday, days after suffering a stroke, his publicist said. He was 83.

I heard they haven't released 90210 for the same reason they haven't released a bunch of other hit TV shows - I guess they're tied up in the music rights. Supposedly they don't want to pay the record companies enormous amounts of money to buy DVD rights. So a lot of shows are being reworked with new soundtracks.

Well, he was 83... There are a lot of things sadder than an 80+ year old senior dying naturally after living a life like that. 20 year olds out there sucking their lives through crack pipes come to mind, among others.

I'm awaiting for American Gothic to be released on DVD.... if ever!

Wow.. who's going to run his empire now that he's gone? Who's his successor? I loved 90210 and then Melrose Place in the 90s ... addicted to them!

LOL! Hey, i didn't even get all that choked up when my Great Grandma died a couple of years ago. She was 98 friggin years old, she'd lived one hell of a life. Death tends to happen when one gets that old. It's not sad, it's part of the deal. It's what we signed up for nine months before we were born. Now, when someone dies in a car wreck at 30 years old, that's sad...

Nothing was meant to be surly.

Wow. I admit, I liked his shows, mostly because he knew top-quality T&A when he saw it.
