I'm just curious to know if it is kinda standard practice for dancers to be available (even "on call" with no possible bookings) between this time. I'm usually available and "on call" from 1pm until 11pm ...... yet one of the agencies said to me the other night that he has been receiving calls for shows until 4am in the morning.
I've always thought that it wouldn't be worth staying up so late for shows (even if I have none booked, just being "on call") since I'm up during the day.
The reason I'm considering extending my available hours whilst I am home for agency work (esp. shows) is that it is still the slow season .... and here in Queensland new no-smoking laws are about to be passed making it a little more convienant for guys to stay home and book a stripper (or three) than to go to a strip club (since they won't be able to smoke where beverages are served which pretty much rules out all clubs and pubs)....
I understand working past mid-night in the busy season however should I do so even in the slow season when I may not even possibly receive one booking ??
