All the more reason why I set my personal profile to private. This way I am in control of who sees that information! The information on my public/work profile is all work-related .. I even made my age 99 years old and dropped my personal profile from the top friends list. Oh yeh.. not to mention that www.goldcoastgirl.com now no longer directs the person to my personal profile like it used to do so I am hidden nice and good.

The only things personal that are on myspace are the photos of my cats yet since they don't go outside (they're both old and like to nap alot during the day and I refuse to let them out of a night) no one can really me via them.

It's the guy's old fault really as it says in the article that he didn't really chat with her that much before wanting to meet up with her! All I know is that I won't meet up with some random guy who asks unless I've spoken with him virtually for decent length of time... why? I've learnt that peoples' true colours can come out after being in contact for few months...

Funny if you told me this happened in Japan I would not have even thought twice about it. I've heard way too many tales of lecherous businessmen dating 'kogals' and getting tazered and robbed. I was surpirsed it was Jacksonville Florida. Then again do you ever really put your sallary down anywhere.... I remember the incident with Amazon raising prices due to your demographic data.

I was going to do a sepearate thread but might as well add it here:

Well Reading Deogol's post made me think about Mainichi Wai Wai. An english language web publication that features strange and unusual news stoires from Japan. I remeber a lot of stoires about guys getting tazered, most were about 5 years ago when kogal was the most popular thing.

Have some links to some newer stuff:

Guns really are the great equalizer! That guy probably just saw a couple of teenage girls and thought there was no problem at all.

Men, time to learn what it feels like to be a woman!! Always wary, always on the look out for danger, not knowing who to trust or who looks like a "nice person" or seeing someone who looks harmless may be a robber or rapist or murderer.

I'm sorry that this guy got mugged, but he was being stupid! Thinking with the wrong head, as it were.

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

I agree with GCG; I changed my profile to private for this reason.
