    Default Auras

Does anybody know how to get rid og those weird auras that appear suddenly? You know the ones you get before a migraine? Well I have one that came on suddenly and it hasn't left for 30 minutes now...the "aura" is getting bigger and making things blurry-it's soooo annoying.

Yikes! I hate optical migraines. I call those visual impairments amoebas. Don't they kinda look like this? lol

Anyway, whenever I get one, I immediately lay down in a totally dark, completely silent room for 20-30 minutes. (Pillow over my head etc.) Since I've
been doing that, they've gone away without growing, and I haven't gotten the nasty migraine that usually follows.
Hope this helps. I've never figured out what causes mine, but they have lists of things to help you rule in or out various possible culprits. Good luck.

It sounds funny, but it works....drink Gatorade as soon as you feel a migraine come on. I have tried this and it has worked for me and a few others who I know have tried it. Apparently it's the electrolytes in the Gatorade that help get rid of the headache/migraine. Try it hon, it's worth a shot.

I had heard about the Gatorade trick recently, but my migranes have gone away.

When I was a kid, coffee used to work. But that was back before I regularly drank coffee.

There is a pressure point in the wedge between your index finger and thumb. Pinch and massage this area a little then start where the bones meet close to your wrist and slowly move outwards in deep massaging circles until you feel an intense pressure point. When you hit it, the pain should bring a rush of blood to your face and lips. Rub it for a while and your migrane should go away.
