    Angry Girls stealing customers

Last night it was really slow and we had a bunch of girls so they made us partner up and 1 girl on the main, 1 on the side..Or both on the main. I partnered up with my friend Danielle who was also doubling up with me when we approached customers. After a while it was so slow and all the guys had a girl so we decided to take a break to sit at the bar and drink a beer. We're sitting there and a man comes in alone and sits at the seat next to me so naturally Danielle and I started talking to him. He was a huge tipper and was giving us money for just standing there. Within 10 minutes we had to go up on stage together but obviously that was our customer. He also said he wanted to take us both to the champagne room when we were done.

We go up on stage and this old girl named kelsey runs up and sits with him even though he's watching us. Then he leaves her and comes up to the stage to tip us, as he is putting 20's in each of our garter belts kelsey steals him from the stage and takes him to go get a lap dance. Ummmmmmmmm.....No ma'am. That doesn't work with me. She has to hustle her ass off to make money because she's way past her prime. It ended up working out because the waitress waiting on us 3 went back and got him for us and we went up to the champagne room and made our money.

Anyhow, I know it's all about making money and hustling but she is the only girl that does that to people. The rest of the girls have enough respect for each other not to steal customers. I've also heard from men that she is annoying and won't go away until you get a dance. I ended up not saying anything to her because stripper drama is the worst, the bouncer suggested I just do it right back to her which I will be doing next time I have the pleasure of working with her. Does this happen in clubs you guys work in and how do you handle it? She totally messed up our money, we probably each could have gotten at least another $40 out of him on stage...

Did she hold a gun to his head and force him to buy a dance?

You guys had him sold on the Champainge room already, it sounds like he wanted to kill a little time while you two were on stage, the other girl was friendly and not on stage, so he went with her.

You, yourself said it was a slow night. You were on stage, the customer was alone in a room of hungry strippers. If it wasn't this older dancer, it would have been someone else who didn't notice you had been talking to him.

Guys don't have to be loyal to the dancers they come in to see. If all men were that loyal, they'd all be home with their wives!

this happens to all of us at some time. it's been happening to me all week. new girls taking guys off my stage, they seem to think that its cute but when you give them a taste of thier own medicine all the sh*t hits the fan. i have yet to figure out whats going on with these girls and because the week is so slow i have plenty of time to think this out. good luck and lets hope that someone some where has manners and all the answers to the question that we have.

Thats true. A girl can't ever really "steal" a customer. Though it is very rude if he was tipping you and she was obviously trying to distract him and keep him from tipping you. That would piss me off. I find it rude when dancers distract the guys watching the stage show. I will only get pissed if a I am sitting with or asking a custy if he wants to get a dance and another dancer intrudes, or starts asking as well before I have walked away. Guys have told me that someone else is sitting here, or they are waiting for so and so, after I have asked to join them, so if he weren't really interested he could have said that. Though I may not agree with this old chick 100%, every custy by himself is fair game IMO.

    Exactly.

And I never buy the story that "she's so annoying that I buy a dance just to shut her up" either. There is no way that I would spend money on something I didn't like/want just because of a pushy sales approach.

All very valid points, but she saw he was sitting with us and what got me mad was that she was distracting him from our show on stage. Like I said earlier had she not done that Danielle and I would probably have at least another $40 in our pockets. I'm taking a small vacation but next time I work with her she's going to get a taste of her own medicine.

It's annoying, but that doesn't mean that she did anything wrong. And honestly, you got your champagne room, so it's not even annoying. Having to abandon your customer, and leave him or her open to other dancers to go on stage is one of the hazards and inconveniences of the trade. As you said she has to hustle her ass off, and it sounds like she is good at it, so good for her. As for distracting from your stage show, you might say the same thing about any girl talking to any guy who was initially looking at the stage. Like, all of them. In some clubs there are rules about approaching customers next to the stage, but she may have felt that she had an invitation to join him there. And, as he clearly wasn't waiting on you (I mean, he clearly intended to get the dance, but that doesn't mean he was planning on just sitting there), she was just as likely right as wrong. You said he was generous - he may have wanted to spread it around a little. Sometimes the generous customers like it that way.

This is actually the perfect situation - one in which everyone gets what they want. Just offhand to me it doesn't sound like there is a problem here.

Maybe Karma actually worked in your favor with her taking him away from the stage. If she really is as annoying as you say she is, it's good that he got a dance from her instead of someone else. What if he got a dance from someone else (and I don't believe the story of doing it so she'll leave), what if he killed time with someone else and changed his mind and got the CR with her instead of you guys. Think of it that way. So you lost $40 instead of $300. I know it's very annoying and it pisses me off when girls in my club do that to me, they're so rude that sometimes flat out rudely interrupt you when you're talking to a customer. They'll step in the middle of you sometimes and they think it's ok because they already know that customer or that's a regular of theirs so they think they're intitled to do it. I know others on here would disagree with me but I think the best thing to do if you don't want to say anything is to do it right back to them. I think when you do back to them several times they'll get the point because they won't like it either so they'll do it to someone else. I know if I was one of those girls that did that crap, if someone did it back to me, I'd get the hint and stop. One thing I've learned in just my short time of dancing so far that you can't let anyone walk all over you because the minute you do, everyone will do it. You need to in a polite way, let people know that you won't take any sh&t.

Sorry to get off topic but you have to stick up for yourself in EVERYTHING or they'll push you around. You don't have to be mean or have attitude, just polietly let people know that you don't let anyone push you around and that includes girls that steal/interrupt customers!

While it's courteous not to hustle customers that have been with another entertainer for a while, once she goes on stage he is technically fair game. Nobody truly "owns" any customer. Also, he chose to go with the other girl. If he is truly "yours" he won't go astray.

I've had customer's complain that I'm annoying. But that is usually from the cheap guys that want free conversation, and I am trying to close the sale.

In the last 2 years or so, I wouldn't spend 20 minutes "warming up" a customer for single $20 dance. One customer even complained to management that I was ignoring him. I was, but only after he turned me down for private dances every day for months.

    S
ure, this guy would buy dances, but only 1 or 2 out of every 6 visits to the strip club. And the girls he would buy them from would literally sit with him all night long. I don't have that kind of patience when it comes to work.

I think maybe the girls that did sit with him all night long would do OTC with him (so they had good reason to camp, and then work for the real $$ later). I only do OTC for bachelor parties of 6 or more customers.

I wish all dancers thought like this.. i always ask the guy if he's waiting for someone before I even sit down, although I shouldn't even care, huh?

Oh but if it's the other way around, a girl steals a guy I'm sitting with as I leave for a second to go to the bathroom or stage, I WILL come back and sit right next to him even if the other girl is still sitting there. I was there first anyway.

Yup, Paris pretty much took the words right out of my mouth. We DO NOT own customers. Bottom line. I guarantee you, you've done the exact same thing, and if you haven't then one day soon you will be doing the same thing that girl did to you that night. She has to make a dollar just as you and your gf's did.
