OK I already wrote about a few bitches(one from work, two from my personal OTC life) who were starting shit with me earlier this week when I didn't do anything at all to them. Here is a link to the thread: . The one bitch at work was very rude, but after our little "quarter-throwing fight" from the stage, I started to find it all humorous and laugh about it afterwards. I was hoping that she'd realize how silly it all was and laugh about it too, but no she had to start trouble with me AGAIN on my very next day of work...only half an hour after I arrived!
Here is what happened. I'd just gotten to work, and one of the people I was talking to was a flirty freckle-faced guy who was part of a bachelor party for his friend. I kept trying to sell him a couch dance, but he was more concerned about who would do the on-stage hot seat for his bachelor friend. He asked me if I liked whipping guys, and I said "yeah, I love dominating men!"(I do) so he firmly said that he was adding me to the hot seat. He asked if that was ok and went over to the DJ booth to tell them to add me on. Meanwhile I was urging him to tell the DJ to play Weird Al's "All about the pentiums"...this is an inside joke b/t me and the DJ, where I always want him to play the satire "All about the pentiums" insteada the P. Diddy version "All about the Benjamins" so I thought it'd be cute if the customer asked the DJ because then the DJ couldn't refuse to play it! LOL. But yeah, that's my extent of involvement.
Well, right after that, whaddyaknow...the DJ informs me that I'm doing the hot seat with The Bitch! LOL what are the odds of that! I start cracking up and telling the DJ and his bouncer friend what a "comedy act" this is gonna be, because they're both full aware of the problems I had with this girl the day before at work. But the manager told us girls to stop arguing with each other, so I was determined to not start trouble and just do the Hot Seat civily. Then the DJ tells me that if I want to take that cig break(we have to smoke outside the club), to take it "right now" because I'd be doing the Hot Seat soon.
So I'm out there smoking, talking to a bouncer friend of mine, and I hear The Bitch yelling and screaming in the dressing room about how mad she is that she's gotta do a Hot Seat with me! She was also bitching because apparently the guy chose her and another girl before me, then changed his mind...I wasn't aware of this, because I generally do not concern myself with anyones' business but my own. She's bitching that I "stole Skipper's Hot Seat"(names have been changed) when the CUSTOMER stole it away, I was not involved in the politics of it. Finally, I go in to say "I don't really care, if it means that much to you, let Skipper do the hot seat like originally planned" but just as I was ready to confront her, she comes out to bitch and yell at me. AND she was telling the house mom gossip about me, and the house mom glanced outside with this snotty/nosy look, which made me feel uncomfortable around the house mom for the rest of the shift. I tell the Bitch's friend "Skipper" that she can have the Hot Seat if she wants, I didn't care at this point I just wanted to subside any drama because I knew the manager didn't want drama, but she was like "whatever."
I pulled aside the manager and explained to him the situation, and he was like "Well, if the customer wanted to change it, then he wants you and you should do it. It all comes down to what the customer wanted, he's able to change the Hot Seat if he wants. YOU should do the Hot Seat because that's what the customer wants." So I ended up doing the Hot Seat, and luckily the bitchy girl was civil to work with during the Hot Seat. Yeah admittedly it DID kinda suck for Skipper to be taken off it, but looking back at it now, I've had a few instances where the same thing happened to me...guys say they want me to do the Hot Seat, then later on I see someone else doing it instead. And I never bitched, not even to the very customers!
Although later on, I overheard some bitches in the dressing room STILL gossiping about me, saying that I "sabotaged the hot seat" when I had NO involvement, was unaware of who was involved with the Hot Seat, and was just doing what the customer wanted. Apparently the Bitch also said that I TOLD the customer to change the Hot Seat and put me on, when in fact he asked ME and the ONLY thing I begged him to do was to request the SONG to be "All about the pentiums" and that was more of a joke than anything. WTF??? It seems like no matter what I do, things always get screwed up. This situation up-and-out made me look bad, despite it not being my fault, and despite managers agreeing with me and the customer. How would you guys have reacted if you were me? Should I worry about what these girls think, or just care about my money? Should I have declined the Hot Seat entirely?
