Default if you don't have anything nice to say...

    you know the rest.

and seriously, if you think you're doing a girl a favor by telling her she...

    1. looks like a new dancer
    2. has a rusty hustle (and what the fuck does that really even mean?)
    3. is 2/3 of the way to being good at her job
    4. should watch diamond, harmony, violet or whoever the hell else to learn some moves
    5. is surprisingly smart...for a stripper
    6. needs to straighten, curl, cut or dye her hair
    etc...

    you're wrong.

also, following such criticisms with something to the effect of, "but, hey, you've got a great ass" is not nearly as cute or charming as you think.

if you don't like a girl's style or personality just politely say no thanks and let her move on. if you've never put on 7" stilletos and danced naked for strangers, then please please please resist the urge to tell the girls who do how to do their job.

I'd like to add to that list the comment about "You'd make so much more money at XYZ club".

I know what you really mean is that the girls give out free BJs with every champange room show, so that club get's your money. Whatever.

Oh and don't say something that begins with the phrase "Just a little constructive critizism" or "May I make a suggestion?" The answer is no, you may not offer constructive critizism or make a suggestion. I'm likely to suggest you keep your mouth shut as constructive critizism.

Don't bark out orders to the stage dancer. Don't shout "Work it girl" or "Shake that ass" or "Show it to me" or "Do the pole" or "Spread it wide" or "C'mon, work for that money" or "Spank it, spank it". I will smile outwardly, but inside I am cursing you and your family and all future generations decended from you over the next millenia.

Please, no comments about why my physical features are not your thing. I can't change how tall I am, what my race is, what my hair color is (today, anyway), I can't change my body shape before you leave the club tonight, so why bother even telling me you hate fake boobs or long hair? Just keep your mouth shut and buy dances from the girls you do find attractive.

Don't comment that you dislike my taste in music, costumes, tattoos, men, foreign films, tropical fruit salad or whatever else you might not agree with me on. There are only so many things a person can talk about in a strip club w/o getting into a problematic conversation (religon, relationships, politics, or Money).

If you bring up any of the taboo subjects (religon, relationships, politics, or Money), I will agree whole heartedly with whatever veiw point you hold. I keep my personal thoughts to myself. I almost always think about you, the customer, spewing some idealistic garbarge to a stripper as not a relevant conversation, anyway. Smile and nod, smile and nod.

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

Judgment call by the mods of Customer Conversation. Moving this over to Stripping General. Not really a "dancers ask customers questions here" type of thread.

GP - I feel for you but agree with JZ. This thread seems difficult to allow for polite customer conversation.

And yes, some of us customers have learned from earlier posts on this subject. However there are some pinkies who claim they like polite feedback on looks, dance style, etc. Just last week I was politely interrogated by a gal on her dancing style only to answer: "I just like to see what part of the dance you really get into".

If you get these questions, it may be because the customer just got done with an insecure newbie who was asking for a bunch of advice.

    Sorry.

^^^ if a girl asks for advice then feel free to give it to her. but unsolicited criticism is unecessary.

sorry for the rant though - i just got, like, 20 guys who thought they knew how to dance and hustle better than i did last night. one or two is manageable. but 20? it was a bit much. and i did well last night too, so i'm not sure what the deal was with those 20 guys...

Yeah I HATE the "you must be new" line, too. I think the biggest reason I get this(other than the fact that I don't do pole tricks or any real fancy dance moves) is because I have a friendly, down-to-earth personality...which apparently is a rarity amongst strippers these days, esp when customers tell me that I'm the nicest girl at the whole club. So I do something that is exactly the OPPOSITE of being a nice girl, by lying...I normally respond to the "you must be new" line with a lie, such as, "What are you talking about??? I've been dancing for six years now." In reality, I've only been dancing for a year!

i thought it was just me, but i find guys at the club giving me "advice" on my "look" to be EXTREAMELY, and increasingly, irritating.

i don't wear red lipstick every day, but i do wear it at least 50% of the time. i get a lot of compliments on it. however, i'll get the occasional guy who'll say one of these things...

"why red lipstick?" - wtf do i even say to that? umm.. because i like it? moron

"that's -really- red, maybe you should wear pink." - maybe you should blow me. i look terrible in pink anyway

what also irritates me are these following question/comments

"do you really think tattoos look good on a woman?" - no i fucking got them because i think tattoos are ugly.

"what would make you pierce your nose/eyebrow/etc" - the devil? someone at gunpoint? *rolls eyes*

"you'd look really good with blonde/brown/whatever hair (followed by) red is ok though" - wtf is that supposed to be? a compliment?

"you should let your nails grow out longer" - to which i reply "oh, i have to keep them short because i play guitar and also because i do a lot of artwork" to which this reply from the customer makes me so frustrated "but... you should really let them grow out, it would be so pretty" ........... *stares*

and i'm -still- annoyed by the amazed look i get when i tell a customer i was a teacher for 3 years. like "omg, you can read?" ..... idiots. or they act all amazed when i say i'm back in college. they say things like "honestly?" and "i thought strippers just -said- that"

Even though I'm new to dancing, I'm starting to get to the point if a guy says anything like these to me, I either totally cut him off while he's talking and walk away or say something back that makes him feel like an ass. Last night I danced for this guy and I knew he really enjoyed the dance but was a broke mother f$cker and didn't want to spend anymore (he spent $20 which was 2 dances) and as I got dressed and he gave me the money he said "Please don't come back over here and dance for me ever again." So I said "Don't worry, I won't, and you know what, that was the nicest compliment I've gotten all night". And I turned and walked away and he came running after me and said "no,I didn't mean it like that, I'm really sorry, Ihope you have a good night" And I gave him an obviously fake smile and ok, you too, bah bye!

I think what I hate the worst is what Paris was saying about how guys yell things out like "oh yeah, work it, shake that ass, show me some pink, hurry up and take that off......" That pisses me off the most! I'm more & more just ignoring those guys too unless it's a really crappy night because guys that are like that are always the cheapest ones and are tipping you a dollar so you'll shake your ass or show them some pink. F$ck them!

I could never understand why men would think this was a flattering comment....

I dunno, I like when someone compliments it. It may mean he's staring at it (I'm nekkid, what do I expect?) but I like to know I have a pretty puss.

I guess you've never heard the age-old business adage... "The customer is always right."

I totally don't mind when a customer compliments my pussy, as long as he's also tipping.

Night before last a guy was sitting at the stage with one lonely dollar in front of him, and he yells, "SPREAD YOUR ASS!" I just gave him a big smile and called back, "YOU FIRST!" Everyone else cracked up laughing and several of them tipped me more. The jerk's friend tipped me $10 for that. Jerk himself got up and left the stage. Ha!

Isn't it funny how it seems the nicest guys develop turretts syndrome the second they step foot in the strip club?

I like it when guys ask us to "do something special" for a dollar tip onstage, for the first timers, the bachelors, and the birthday boys. How "special" does it get for a dollar, especially when there are SIX of you and you are giving me DOLLAR.
