That sounds pretty damn factual to me. Holy Crap! I gotta look that stuff up now. Thanks for the heads up.
I couldn't read some of it...some of it went up under the address bar...
But, disturbing, none-the-less.
When Tommy was done breaking the springs in Oprah's couch, do you think the church put him on a regimin of vitamins and minerals? Maybe they just gave him an "audit" session. LOL

i totally believe that site. it IS a cult. L. ron hubbard was a science fiction writer for gods sake.
I believe it. They don't believe in pharmaceuticals and they really do believe that shit about the aliens!

I think the proof is in L. Ron's own words. "Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion." - L. Ron Hubbard.

When Tom Cruise went into his couch-jumping phase, I was involved in the rehabilitation of a mentally ill relative. It took me a nanosecond to realize Tom Cruise is crazy (probably bipolar) & the favorite game of many mentally ill people is "How Can I Stay Off Of My Meds?"
So what he was saying was not surprising.
Scientology is similar to some Christian churches I will not name for fear of Flamewar. Suffice to say, I have seen cult-like religious groups hurt & destroy lives. I am grateful I don't have to act like I believe some organized nonsense.

You have a damn good point. He has a certain manic look in his eyes he didn't have when he was younger. He seems more aggressive and edgy like he's constantly buzzed up. He used to be Mr. Smooth. I hope I'm wrong because that's a jacked up life for him, his wife/girlfriend and baby. Maybe that's why he just up and divorced his last wife. Bipolar just gets worse and worse.Originally Posted by madmaxine

Really though, and I'm not saying this to offend anyone, but is anything in Scientology really THAT much more strange than in the Bible? Burning bushes that talk? Raining frogs and 7 headed serpants?

Well, my friend's older bro was a former scientologist, and yeah- I'd say it's a pretty bad cult. There's all kinds of religious cults out there- some are christian/judaism/hindu/buddhist based, and some are straight out of weirdville like scientology. A cult is a fucking cult, and IMHO, they're all bad, including scientology.
At least the other religions don't charge you to get ahead in their religion. There's tithing, charity, donations, or whatever you want to call it. But being charged that much??? crazy.Originally Posted by put a stop to collar pop!
Ehhhh...you can call it whatever you want, but basically people are told to give money for one reason only: to buy their way out of hell.Originally Posted by fancygirl

This is why I'm no longer religious....it's all a game of which religion can own more shit and make more money. Bah.
I believe you Dottie and you have my support
