Default Vegas for my 21st b-day

So my husband and I are going to Vegas at the end of August for my 21st b-day. He's 26 and we've got a 2 month old baby, needless to say we don't have lives anymore. This will be our first real vacation in years and the first time we've had a weekend without the baby. We'll be gone 4 days/3 nights. We both enjoy drinking, dancing to hip hop and he likes to play poker. I went to Vegas when I was 18 but of course couldn't do anything and my husband has never been. This trip we're focused completely on the nightlife (hardly any sightseeing).. I know tons of you live/work in Vegas so where should we go? I badly want to go to Cheetah's for a while since it was on Showgirls as corny as that is lol.. I'm also thinking Ghost bar too. Any suggestions on a good restaurant for a b-day dinner too? Maybe another strip club? Maybe we'll come visit one of you girls

There is a dance club at the Venetian called Tao... its super packed and super awesome.. I hate going clubbing but I thought it was a great club. When I say packed I mean there was well over 2000 people in there. Just cruise the strip there is TONS to do there. Have fun

Spearmint Rhino in Vegas is a lot of fun. I've been to 3 SC's in Vegas: the Rhino, Club Paradise, and Olympic Garden. All were good, but I liked the Rhino the best. It definitely has a party atmosphere. There are a lot of fun bars and dance clubs on the strip, but I was pretty wasted when I went into them, so I don't remember their names. Sorry, I'm not much help there!

As for restaurants, there's Top of the World restaurant on the top of the Stratosphere. There are big windows there and you can look out and get a great view of Vegas. I've eaten there once. It's expensive, but I thought it was worth it. The food was delicious and our waiter was very polite and attentive without being overbearing. It's best to go at night-you get a great view of the city and it's so pretty when it's all lit up at night. Very romantic! Other than that, I haven't eaten anywhere in Vegas besides fast food restaurants and Denny's-type places, but I'm sure others will have some great suggestions.

Happy early birthday and have a great time!

I guess another question is dress code. I know girls can basically wear whatever and get into a club but if we're going to Ghost Bar and say another one of the well known night clubs should I be wearing a dress or is it more of nice jeans and a cute top sort of thing?

While the view at the Top Of The World restaraunt is great, the food is pretty lousy. Delmonicos is a much better choice and as for night-clubs, Tao is pretty cool but certainly nothing unique for Vegas. There's over a dozen clubs in Vegas identical to it so you won't go wrong there. If you are thinking already on going to the Ghost Bar at the Palms (not a night-club, it's an ultra lounge) you may want to hit Rain as well or instead. It's one of the major nightclubs in Vegas like Tao (as Cally mentioned). While you are there at the Palms and are looking for a nice dinner, you should go to either "9" which is great or Alize' which is even better. 9 will run you about $100 for the two of you for dinner and Alize' about double that. More if you are buying alcohol of course.

Other great night clubs to check out include:

    OPM - Caesars Palace
    Light- Bellagio
    Ra - Luxor
    Tangerine - Treasure Island
    Rumjungle - Mandalay Bay
