    Default dvd's to learn from?

Hi. Sorry, I forgot to ask this in my last post. Can anyone reccomend some good dvd's to watch to get ideas for dancing/pole? I have ZERO experience.

    Thanks

    To be honest with you..

FROM books to DVDs.. There all fine n dandy..but there is nothing like actually doing the work ON A POLE as you learn especially from an instructor who can spot you..

I mean..I don't know about the DVDs, never wanted to waste my money on them..but I did actually a buy a pretty good book called "S FACTOR" by Sheila Kelley.. Which has everything from how to do lap dances, pole work, floor work, everything.. I'm sure most book stores(amazon, borders, barnes) has it for $15.

BUT it just wasn't enough for me. So I researched like hell on the internet to find a pole dancing class.. and Now i go to it every week and learn something new every time THANKS to the instructors.. definitely try to research for an pole dancing class near you.. I know most states don't offer them, but I think their so worth it and safe.

ALSO..if you work at a club, show up early and practice some moves.. it shouldnt be a problem to ask a dancer to show you some moves also and to make sure ur doing them right..!

Not sure what state you're from but......if you research "pole dancing" on the net...MOST states have some sort of class.

I'm here in Oregon and we have at least 3 diffrent places that offer both S-Factor type classes and pole classes.

I'm currently taking pole classes from an actual dancer (most places I found..didn't have real dancers teaching the classes...but instead....former athletic trainers/instructors) ....Soooooo hard but soooo much fun!!

As for videos....maybe it's just me...but I think it's better to have someone there to show you moves...holds...grips....rather than trying to learn from a video... hehe..but perhaps that's because I'm just "special"

If you can't find classes or videos.... my instructor tells us the way she learned was..... she practiced on a "back" stage that was never used....sooo...I guess I really just repeated what everyone else told ya!
