Smiley I got through my first night... surprisingly well!

I am so so proud of myself! I went to the club, telling myself I'd be happy if I even made one private dance, and I came away with £80 ($147) my first night!

As SOON as I walked in, this other dancer, Carmen, was so nice; she basically told me everything I needed to know. Like, how it works at the club, the house fee, how the customers are, etc etc. Just stuff I need to know. And because this was my first time dancing ever, and I'd never given a proper lap dance before, she gave me one Just showed me some of the things she does when she gives a private dance, so I could get a feel for what to do when I give them. I was expecting all the dancers to be bitchy, but I found most of them were so nice helping me out and stuff, giving me tips. A few of them (maybe 2 or 3) didn't even bother to say hi or smile at me or acknowledge my presence, but I didn't even think about them and I came away with a good bit of money on my first night

As for the customers, they were a lot more behaved than I thought they were going to be! It's a really nice club, and it's quite small too, so you generally don't get roaring drunks grabbing at you. Even if you do, one grab and the bouncers will throw him out immediately. Carmen told me they take that VERY seriously there, especially when dancers are doing private dancers. That was reassuring to know

Oh and I picked the stage name is Bailey. It's a good one when introducing yourself because I usually say "Hi my name's Bailey!"
    They inevitably ask, "Hailey?"
"Not Hailey -- Bailey, like the drink!"
Of course they know that one

There's no way I'd have done so well if I hadn't read these posts here (I've been lurking here for a couple months and really started to read the articles and members' contributions over the past few days before my first shift) - so thank you everyone here! You're all awesome.

I had my first shift a while ago... last Thursday I'm pretty pleased, because I've already got my next one lined up!

Since my club is so small and there's quite a few dancers, the lead dancer/manager organises girls to come in usually twice a month, on like a rota-type thing. I was quite sad when I heard that, because I'd gladly work a few nights a week if I could!

But the manager's offering me more shifts next week, which is a good sign! I think a lot of girls back out last minute, for whatever reasons they have... I know one or two girls don't take it as seriously as I, and the other dancers, do =/

I got some new outfits for my next shift, though and I've picked out some songs I'll do sets do so I'm really inspired and excited

Oh yeah, and good luck with your first night! I'm sure you'll do more than fine

Ha ha me too, every time I've listened to the radio lately I've had half an ear out listening for whether a song would be good to dance to... I've decided on muse's supermassive black hole and goldfrapp's tiptoe so far

I don't know if you've heard this song, but you might like Goldfrapp's "Strict Machine" to dance to. I think that's one I'll dance to next shift...
