    Default Lap Dance Dilema

Since i'm not 21 yet I can't go into the Sc here in Pa to get a feel of what its like to be a customer so I at least have an idea of what a strip clubs like before I go audition. I called the places that I wanted to audition at and asked them if I could stay out ofn the floor before my audition and see the other dancers and maybe get a lap dance, but they refused saying that I could just come in and audition, not sit around because they were worried about the laws.
Has anyone ever experienced this before? Is it normal for them to be nervous about letting under 21 whoose their for an audition sit and watch for awhile? Anything you could suggest?

I don't think you are going to like it--but--my suggestion would just go and audition.... If they hire you, you will have plenty of time to sit and watch.

    Good Luck

I just experienced this last night! I had a list of 6 or 7 clubs to check out before making the decision which ones to audition at. I had no idea my friend was under 21. Even after we explained that we visited the club (pay the cover, etc) to decide whether we wanted to work there.....they wouldn't let us. All the doorman would say was 'Come back during the audition time'.

I don't want to see what a club is like when it just opens...usually it's empty- that doesn't tell me anything about the earnings potential.

In some states it is legal for 18-20 year olds to be onstage or giving lapdances, but not to work the floor. I don't know exactly how the laws are written, but basically they're not allowed to sit around. This would have to apply to anyone sitting in the main area, whether a dancer or a customer, as the dancers aren't employees anyway.

i wouldnt specify that you wana get a lapdance and sit for awhile..just say something like. "i'm intrested in maybe auditioning, when would be a good time for me to come by and check out the club?" something along those lines...

Do they offer ameture contests? That would be one way to check it out.

Or like Classic'sMontana said, just go audition. Most clubs offer free or reduced house fees for their new dancers to give them a chance to learn the ropes and start making money.
