Default how much of a turn-off is leg hair?

    Question for the customers:

I don't feel like shaving my legs today, but I am working tonight. I have maybe a day's worth of stubble, and it's soft, not sandpapery. I don't want to shave

    a) because I'm lazy
    b) because I have a date tomorrow and I'd rather have smooth legs for her than for work

Would it be a horrible turn-off to run your hand up a slightly stubbly leg?

probably not a big deal. stockings are good, but it depends on how touchy the guys are. Just have them touch your back and your hips if you can.

Just don't let them touch you. I hate being touched by strange men I don't know anyway..

I guess to me personally it wouldn't bother me. So long as it isn't rough (I'm sure you aren't a big fan of the 5oclock shadow). I noticed a girl that I got a dance from had similar to what you are describing. When her legs went over my arm I noticed that there was some stubble. Didn't bother me at all was just kinda surprising and she took my mind off it basically as soon as I noticed it anyway.

I wear knee-highs when I don't shave. I also don't shave above the knees... but my leg hair there is unnoticable.

(as a customer)..If you allow me to touch your legs, and they aren't shaved...gross. Just shows me how little you care about your job. Take some pride in yourself, appreciate that I'm paying you $20 for 3 min. of your time. You should look, smell, and feel your absolute best. You're feeling lazy but still expect to make money... Your date, is she paying your bills or do the customers you work for...It takes all of 5 min. to shave...

Definately shave! Guys comment all the time that my legs are so smooth. If I got a dance from a girl and her legs were not shaved smooth, it would turn me off and I would not get any more.

No-one will notice anyway if you dont wear stockings unless they touch your legs. (-:

I've got to agree with Jenna and Lyssa Lynn. It looks (and feels) very tacky to me. The last time I was in Jenna's neck of the woods I stopped by the club down the street. There was an abosolutely beautiful blonde haired dancer on the main stage. I decided to check her out closer and went up to the stage and grabbed a seat. She came around for the tip and I got a nice feel of her long sexy...stubbly legs.....ugh. Thats the only the money she got from me. She had a good chance of getting all the money in my wallet; if she'd only had bothered to shave her legs.

Jenna I would have stopped in your club but it looked packed which is good for you but bad for guys like me who don't like crowds.

Anyway...it always took me for-EVER to shave, since I'm Latin and we're furry. I couldn't get away with not shaving my thighs and always envied women that don't have to.

I never really worked at clubs with much contact, but stockings sound like they would be pretty effective.

Shaving's such a pain in the ass.

ack, huge turn off. Usually, I've seen this on dancers that also had bad breath, body odor, etc. You're selling fantasy--I don't need to go to a club to see stubble.

It's kind of interesting though that no one thinks that way for shaving one's legs, or pits, or what have you - which happens to match the hair content of an eight year old, yet start talking about the kitty....

Anyhow, I like the gals with a C cup or better... AND no like hearing a girl prattle on about the latest "stud" in Tiger Beat or what have you. My sister and her girlfriends voices still ring in my ears so many years later. (If I ever have a daughter my wife will need to raise her because I don't think I could handle the excited yacking over nonsense without going insane.)

I'm of Latin-Jewish extraction, so all my hair is thick & luxuriant, even my leg hair.
In all honesty, I only shave enough that my legs look hairless, but might be a little bristly. I don't want some stranger rubbing my skin anyway. Private shows are a slightly different matter. Actually, I think I included shaving in one private show. See, there's resourcefulness right there.

If it's unnoticeable then don't stress it, but if a custy does touch it and seems to find an issue, say something like "I am so sorry abotu the stubble, I was running really late for work and they charge us for being late," which says you care. but often times guys will respond that they don't care, i'm so pretty that i could be blah blah blah... only once has a custy (who was piss drunk mind you) said something about slight stubble, and he said (paying 100/3 song VIP) you know, you could have shaved for me. Like i care what the douchebag thought! plus he was a dud and only had 100 on him so screw it ha ha ha. your date will appreciate it.

    Love it!

i think it depends on how dark and coarse your hair is. my leg hair is super thin and light, so it's barely noticable. as long as it doesnt feel super coarse when you have stuble, i wouldn't worry too much about it.

As an aside, no offense meant, the whole area of: larger breast size = "grown up". God, do I get sick of *that* one.

And I'd totally do the leggings/stockings- I can't see this really affecting your earnings. Be smooth for your date- your customers may be giving you money, but she may be giving you

Eh...as long as she has less hair on her legs than I do, I'm OK. It's not that big a deal to me. Sure, I like smooth legs, but I'm not exactly going to kick a dancer off my lap if she's not shaved in a day or two.

plenty of women have soft or minimal leg hair, or body hair more generally. it is hardly sloppy or lazy if a woman's legs are plenty soft and fantasylike unshaven because she wasn't cursed with a wiry mess of hairs on her legs that leave scratchy stubble.

of course, this all assumes that you want customers touching your legs and allathat in the first place.

i can't even shave my legs particularly often without getting a rash, which would be a lot more unsightly at work than being unshaven. i've worked with plenty of girls who even after shaving cannot match the softness of my legs.

anyway, enough cranky twocentitude. body hair is not necessarily gross or unsightly even in stripperville.

Shrug, I think if she is cool with it, I wont even be bothered to notice. Just don't give me some story about how your babydaddy took your income and you can't afford a razor until AFTER I've tipped.

The OP asked if it was a turn off for customers, cause she was
    1) too lazy
    2) placed her personal life over her professional life

What I find interesting, is the number of dancers replying on the thread that stubble is okay. I sense they're not really trying to give a helpful answer, but rather, just trying to make themsevles feel better about going to work with stubble.

Its a slippery slope ladies. Slacking on your appearance at work will affect your success just like lack of preparation will affect it in any other field. A lawyer who skips preping for his case, just because he has a hot date tonight or is too lazy?

    Sheesh.

And yet, I continually see posts here with dancers complaining about not making money. And you wonder why?

Damn I leave for one day and you guys have filled up 2 pages of replies! I'm impressed--> I had no idea I would incite such controversy

Update: I didn't shave, wore thigh-highs, didn't get any comments from customers. If someone had said something, I probably just would've been honest: "I have a date tomorrow, and I'd rather be smooth for her than for you." I don't think there is anything wrong with *occasionally* putting your personal life ahead of your professional life. I work hard, not only dancing but also academically.

And just for the record, I shower regularly, always use plenty of deoderant & body spray, spend generous time applying makeup and styling my hair, and always wear clean, flattering costumes. Shaving is the one thing I occasionally "let go."

Just got out of the bathtub, now I'm silky-smooth and ready for my date. Wish me luck!
