The more I let people's nagging & bitching get to me the more I seem to break out. It seems to be that stress and anxiety cause acne.
I found a few useful techniques on de-stressing but am wondering if anyone else has any helpful input?thanks

B vitamins and zinc. (-:

I find that my skin looks healthier and stays clearer when I exerscise regularly. I think it's because hitting the gym really does help me de-stress, crazy endorphines giving me a sense of well being and all that. I bet the increased oxygen and blood circulation dosen't hurt the general condition of the skin, either.
I read an article on Aryuvedic (spelling?!) skin care. They believe that oily skinned folks, such as myself, need to exersize in order to have healthy, good looking skin.
Have you tried facial massage? I give myself mini massages when I wash my face and "deeper" massage with a hydrating mask about once a week. i just like the idea of stimulating more blood flow to the surface of the skin, seems to be good for everything overall.
I already work out a lot (5 days/week 30-60min.) so I'll have to try the facial massage & vitamins!
Just make sure that you wash your hands very very well before giving yourself a facial massage and stay away from the membranes of the nose - stalph bacteria tend to live in the mucus membranes of the nose and can be responsible for nasty zits if you introduce them to clogged pores.
I have noticed that the more stressed out I am, the more skin issues crop up.
I have a mild intolerence to cheese and find that eating too much of it always results in a break out so keep an eye on what your eating. A friend of mine swears by lavander and tea tree oil to clear her acne and it smell a hellua lot better than the medical remedies.
You mentioned that you work out alot. Are you doing Yoga or Pilates? I have found that those mind/body exercises help keep my stress down. It has also helped immensily with my insomnia!

Don't do anything to put pressure on your face. LIke, don't rest your chin on your hand, or wedge thte phone against your chin. It will make you brak out right wher the pressure was.

When you perform... you are out of yourself--larger and more potent, more beautiful. You are for minutes heroic. This is power. This is glory on earth. And it is yours, nightly.

Yes I know this for a fact! Some chick touched my face once and I got a huge zit exactly where she touched it.Originally Posted by Colleen
