    Yes - very sad.

A couple of them look like they may be permanently in mental psychosis.

    Reminds me of this:

Have you ever seen the teeth on meth addicts? They are DISGUSTING. Meth heads also tend to get severe bite problems which make their chin and jaw lines look deformed. Certainly not a beauty enhancer.

I don't need to see the pic, I've seen enough of that in Central California ("Columbia of Meth" according the cruelly funny Meth Expose on )

It really does do that to you. Rots the teeth, gives you sores - which due to the meth, most users pick at, causing further infection and leaving scars, it also makes the skin all over your body sag and look sallow, it even makes a person stink after a while of heavy use. Long term users often wind up with permanent psychosis. Whenever someone hears that I was an addict, they are always surprised that I still have my nice smile. My old regs and friends that knew me then tell me how afraid they all were for me - it puts your friends through hell also. Everyone tells me how lucky I am to have gotten out and be alive still, and pretty again. Many aren't so lucky.

It took 6 whole months for meth to drag me to the bottom. I was skeletal and also lost damn near everything. An arrest saved my life. I don't have pics - once I got clean, looking at them was awful. I saw how horrible I looked and I tore them all up. I saw a dancer recently that I hadn't seen in years and was amazed at how beautiful she was, she had been a heavy meth user for so long I never knew she was normally gorgeous. Sadly, she got back on it and now looks hideously old and ugly again, acts batshit nuts, and has these really wierd facial ticks. I don't know why she dances, the customers won't come anywhere near her. Thank god I got arrested and was able to stay off the stuff. It eats you away and your life goes with it. I don't believe anyone who says they can use it "recreationally". I don't think it's possible and I certainly never met anyone who could do that for any length of time. It took them all down.

If anyone is interested, here is a link to a poem I wrote after a relapse while trying to get off the stuff: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...e-3d68e32bf458

Maybe. I personally believe that a lot (not most, but quite a few) of people that use drugs just feel or think too damn much and need to dull that a bit. Others are just bored out of their fucking skulls, which probably explains why meth is so popular in these backwaters.

Meth mouth isn't directly caused by meth, but a number of factors. Since it's a stimulant, users often grind their teeth and jaws. Teeth are tough, but if you grind hard enough they will crack and break in your mouth. Also, a lot of meth users crave syrupy drinks like Mountain Dew plus they tend to neglect their hygiene. Rotting teeth are more likely to crack or flat out be ground out if the teeth are rotting from sugar and no brushing.

Meth doesn't make your skin saggy on its own, but since it kills your appetite and makes you jumpy, users often lose astonishing mounts of weight very, very quickly.

As for the sores, people that are on speed will pick at their faces or a lot of women obsessively pluck their eyebrows until they're gone. Just like legal forms of speed like ADHD drugs help you focus, meth takes that even further, to the point where you're compulsive about doing something and are so focused you cannot stop.

The saddest part is that most of these drastic changes took place in a matter of months.

Yes, I realize I'm harsh about meth....it comes from a deeply personal place of having to live with a methhead....My brother is the only drug addict I've seen who can make his eyes look puffed out AND sunken at the same time.
My attitude was changed a lot by meeting a very beautiful dancer (both inside & out) who had a bad meth addiction in her teens. She's one of the coolest people I ever met & the world would be a worse place without her. She admitted it was so hard to quit, the only thing that made her stop using was seeing how much she hurt her family.....But being clean is an everyday struggle for her, even though she's on top of the world now.
Better to not even risk getting hooked on a drug with a relapse rate upwards of 90%....
Oh yeah, and the love of my life chose to turn himself into a human toilet with meth. There's nothing like losing 2 of the most loved men in your life to a sh*t drug....I wouldn't wish that on anyone....

yea, we have a HUGE problem here in the NW. they did an expose on "the faces of meth", to show school kids what it does to you. I'm sure it scared most of them to stay away. the one that freaked me out the most was the second picture (a woman) here..

    its been a year today.

ive been clean of ice/meth for 1 whole year.

this morning i was thinking about my old meth friends, wondering where they are now etc, and remembering the good times on the stuff. i was :: this close to considering going back to nz for a binge.

thank you for posting that link today, of all days. it reminded me why i stopped.and why i dont need to have it in my life.

in the short time i was on it, i ripped, literally, my wisdom teeth out, thru the gums, i sat there one night and picked and picked till they were bleedings and thru the gums. i then consumed 100 nitros oxide canisters to numb the pain, this caused my throat to get freezer burn, and for me to think my throat was closing up,unable to breath,so i thought, i went to a 24 hour doc.
    embarassing.

meth can be nasty. i forget the shitty bits of it, and somehow focus on the great friendships, and times i did have.

it didnt ruin my life. but it could have.

Somehow I think the girl on the bottom looks slightly BETTER than her original photo after meth. ??

Well, I live in the Land of Tweekers and I have to say that I have never touched the stuff, and I never will. I hate uppers and I hate how it makes people act when they're on it. I've got friends who are ex-tweekers and I totally believe it permanently fucks with your brain. They never really lose that weird lying/paranoia thing, even if it's minimized for the most part. Some habits just never die.
When my ex boyfriend and I moved out here almost two years ago, he started doing it as an alternative to drinking (duh). He got so paranoid that he would look through all my things while I was asleep, convinced that I was cheating on him. A torn stocking was somehow "proof" to him that someone had been fucking me. The worst was when he found an old notebook and did "eyeshadow rubbings" on the slight indents on the pages to see if I had written love letters to someone else and ripped the page out of the notebook.
The relationship ended completely when he took a knife to my bed and expensive clothes, saying that I never wore the clothes for him.
I knew that I would be the next thing to get the knife.

he sounds like he actually is phsycopathic, not just on drugs. sometimes meth can bring out personality disorders more, i guess he was supressing his sychotic behaviour until then? good thing you got out of it!!!

Yeah, he was kinda nuts before that too. I guess meth just brought out all the really bad parts he was able to keep under control for the most part.

I was addicted to meth, luckily for a VERY short time. Only four months. But it was torture. The sores inside your mouth prevent you from eating if you WANT to. I remember trying to force myself to eat mashed potatoes (because they were a 'liquid') and not being able to swallow it because everything was swollen.

Luckily I never got so bad I started to pick at things.

But my best customer left me because he could feel my bones too much during a dance and it made him retch.

    Yay.
