Figured I'd finally pump this out. Been meaing to since last week, and well I did some hunting and found someone had already explained it.
The Supertrick, is essentially an edited Hosts file that blocks advertisments, or more nefarious items. I first learnt of its existance back in the days of Kazaa.
Now what the hell this all means is that you can use a file on your computer to block ads that appear on webpages.
In thier words:
-------
• How do I block ads and pop-ups?
By using a simple trick. By editing a file called HOSTS you can competely block access to certain websites. Using this trick you can block websites that serve ads or onces that might compromize your privacy and security. This trick also speeds up the loading time of websites, because the ads don't have to be downloaded.
This is what Supertrick does.
------
This may not be entirly ethical because there are many websites that are supported solely by advertising. However, most of the super trick invovles preventing the nastier ones from gaining access to you.

If anyone wants to know about manually editing the file to get rid of a specific site let me know.
Backup your original one just in case.
Also if you would rather have it in my own words let me know.
