    Default Pole Dancing Class

    Hello Everyone,

I tried to look this topic up before I posted but, didn't really see anything. Forgive me if I've over looked it.

I was curious to know if any of you teach any kind of Pole Dancing Classes? I'm asking (and please forgive my ignorance) because I know someone that would like to possibly teach lessons or perhaps even open up her own studio. I thought it was a great idea because there is only one in our area and I think she could be successful.

We are'nt quite sure what channels we need to go through as far as maybe her having to have some sort of liscense or even certification. I told I knew the perfect place to ask because you ladies are so helpful around here. If anyone has any info or could even point us in the right direction, we would appreciate it!!

    Thanks in advance!
    Crystal

good luck to your friend. after i have my AA i plan on teaching pole classes instead of dancing while i get my BA and start another PT job toward my career. i would be interested to know as well in the types of licensing and/or insurance required. i'm sure it varies from state to state.

pretty penny I'm in tampa and if I'm still around when you're teaching I'd love to take classes from you. So far I just teach myself on my own but I'd love to have an actual teacher.

cool. i wouldn't feel confident about teaching anyone right now obviously. well, i show the new girls at my work some things when they ask, but that's about it. i'll let you know if we're both still "around" heh. right now i'm just reading up and watching instructional videos to get more and more advanced at it. that way when i'm ready to start teaching i'll be fully prepared. also, i was a school teacher before dancing, so i think i know how to explain things fairly well.

I teach pole. I have a portable pole in a case, and when I have a client they either come to me (I have a spare room set up with mirrors, etc) or I take it to their house. It works. There's a big demand in the housewife sector, the college aged girls, and queens.

HI, what area are u in exactly. I'm down in Miami and I really want to learn how to pole dance. I've read that its not really that important, but its still cool to whip it out occasionally and show every1 what u've got. I've been looking online for places that teach it but I haven't found any... I've also read a lot about videos but I can't exactly install a pole in my parents house (shhh). I've actually asked a couple of the veteran girls at the club that are really good if they could teach me and they flat out said NO. If anyone has any advice please help

I actually live in Tulsa, OK. So... if you can't get up here, the best thing for you to do is just practice during the slow times. Watch how the other girls do their tricks, and then try to repeat them - don't worry if you bust your ass, no one will notice or remember in ten minutes anyways.

I take a class its $ 30 for a hr session. the main girl drags on stretching so you don't get any pole in keeps you coming back and makes her more money, but the other girl that teaches once a week goes straight to the pole and really teaches you. I am almost done with it because I want to learn pole tricks not strech for 45 minutes I can do that at home.
