    Exclamation Piercing Help!!!!

Alright ladies, I figure there is someone out there that has encountered a similar problem as the one I am currently going through so hopefully someone can help!

I recently got my clitoral hood pierced, now initially I took the first night off, but I was alright to work the next day, but my dances were a little more like Air Dances lol.
Anyways! After about a week and a half, it was feeling completely fine, and then suddenly it because ridiculously swollen and VERY VERY sore! Think I may have torn it or something? Has anyone encountered this problem? What can I do to take the pain away? The swelling is gone, but the pain is still present, and its greatly affecting the quality of my work...I've contacted my piercer, but seeing that he is male he clearly has no idea how much pain I am experiencing.....

Any suggestions or stories to share? I really have noooo idea what to do about this, and taking it out is not really an option....

I hated my piercing. It was always painful for me, it was never infected, but never felt right. If the pain doesn't go away, take it out. That's the only way to fix it. Mine continued to hurt for 3 months after I took it out. Worst piercing I ever had.

well wow, 3 months is a very long time. I really really hope that that does not happen to me.
    Thanks though.

The piercing is not infected, and I am not having an allergic reaction. I clean it properly every day. My piercer basically told me that I probably pulled it or something....my biggest worry is that it might be migrating.....

Alright well I will keep doing that, and I guess if it doesn't work I will just have to say fair-well to my new accessory, hahaha

One more question, as the more I keep reading about the piercing on the internet.....Did I get a completely useless piercing by getting it done horizontally? It seems that the VCH is the more popular.......

Mine was the least painfull one I have lol.. Was healed after a week or so, bled like a bugger for an hour n then had no problems with it since

Keep cleaning it, lots of clean water- have a good look at it, make sure no tears or infection coming.

Mine is VCH... guess its kinda choice as to which way you have it.. i didnt really think of having it any way apart from VCH..but personally love the err.. sensations lol .. cant complain lol

What sort of bar have you got in there?? any allergies in the past to different metals??.. also the length of bar you have may need to be changing to a smaller one after its healin

Right now its a hoop, and I've ruled out an allergic reaction because it has been too long for one to occur (its been 2 weeks +1day, and my piercer said that it is very uncommon for an allergy to develop other than immediately)

After phoning a few different places and talking to different piercers, I was informed that the most probable reason is that a) I have torn it slightly so I made it "angry" and now it's extra sensitive, and b) I am using too much salt (explains the slight burning feeling when its rubbed)

So hopefully all will go well now and I can soon add to the HCH and get a VCH Thanks ladies

Maybe go back to the piercer and have them change it to a curved barbell 'til its healed. That way its not being pulled on or twisted as much. And use the warm water/sea salt soaks (in a shot glass or something). I never had a prob with mine luckily. Good luck.
