Ok, so when I shave my legs I have these black dots/stubble like blackheads. Maybe a stupid question, haha but are these ingrown hairs? What can I do to get rid of them? I do have a mitt that I exfoliate with, but it doesn't seem to help.
eww...

I'd say yes to the ingrown hairs, sometimes I also get them. I use tweezers to pluck them out!
And ewww indeed!!! ;-)
They say that the best way to get rid of ingrowns is to pull them out from under the skin with tweezers and then shave over, not to pull them out completely because it will just cause more ingrowns.
Maybe you should try a different product to shave with?

Tweezer them out... n try to change hair removal method if they dont improve..
Otherwise try using a coarse body scrub then a shaving oil to shave with![]()
Shaving "oil"? I never heard of that. Would I be able to find it w/ the other shaving stuff? Thanx.

Yeah with the normal foams normally, Kings of Shaves do a shaving oil, are various other brands as well tho!
Tell us what products you're using to shave (razor and gel), exfoliate, moisturize. Maybe it's one of those products, or you're not switching out your razor enough.

Venus razor, conditioner to shave and I exfoliate first with a scrub mitt thing.
I don't really moisturize, so that could be it.
I change the razor a lot, so that's not it. They look exactly like blackheads..little black dots. The hair is shaved, but leaves a black dot. Like my shave didn't get close enough, even though it did logically.
Also, this seemed to start when I gained about 10 pounds a few months ago, but I'm not sure how extra weight could cause them...
I have pale skin and dark hair, so it happens to me. They're not ingrown hairs so much as shadows. I wax most of the time, and shave only when I need my legs to be really smooth, like if I'm getting some action. This majorly cuts down on the number of shadowing hairs.
