How did you meet the one and when did you know they were the one?![]()
Just curious on how you met the love of your life=)
i met my hubby on the internet when i was 12 and he was 13... we met in person at 13 and 14, and to this day, i still say i fell in love with him the moment i met him... we lost touch for a while, and we reconnected at 14 and 16 (we're about a year and a half apart, lol)... started dating then, and got married at 20 and 21, lol... i knew he was the one the moment i met him (my parents knew even more than me... during the year we didnt speak, they would see him and refer to him as their future son in law, even though i hadnt spoken to him in months, lol)... it took hubby a bit to know I was the one thoughwhats your story?

Met my husband at a stripclub...he was the DJ there...I knew he was the one when the club told him I couldn't visit him while he was working and he quit right on the spot....it has been 6 yrs now..crazy.

I met my gut at a titty bar. He was the manager at the time. I gave him my phone # on his last shift (he had put in his 2 weeks). That was over two years ago. We're one of those stoopid happy couples. I never thought I'd meet the man of my dreams while having singles stuffed into my thong.

Jr. high!
I don't know exactly when "that moment" was...it just sort of happened over the seven years we've been together.![]()
I met Dea at a bar while celebrating an anniversary with the then girlfriend. Dea walked in and I never looked back.
I met the one Jason at the grocery store (where he works). Its hard to describe but I did just know and I cant imagine spendng time without him.
Wasn't looking, wasn't interested, met him at Burger King at 3 in the morning after clubbing. Stayed up all night talking, went out to breakfast. He dropped me at home and I gave him my number without his asking (never do that). He called two days later (of course the two-day rule was in effect) and I asked him to dinner. Closed the place down talking. Living together now and engaged. Totally, disgustingly in love.
Uhm if any one wants to meet me, I'll be "Cleaning Stalls" at the "XXX Ranch and Private Viewing Theater" off Rt. 13 in Idaho....![]()
People are not ruled by their memories.
First Husband and I met on a blind date, set up by friend, and his friend that had just started dating at the time. It was a double-date with them, and we took it from there. It lasted a total of 8 years (1 year of dating, 7 years of marriage).
Dan and I met at a coffee shop that we both worked at. He was the Assistant Manager, and I hated him with a passion. I didn't even start SPEAKING to him until a year after he quit the job. We spent a year as friends, then I caved and started dating him. That was over 6 years ago, and we've been married for over 4 of them.
So yeah, I've had two loves of my life. Guess I've been lucky so far.
Some of these stories are so cool!!! I met my boyfriend on myspace though we first met in person at a bdsm club which was pretty cool. I met my lover at work. (-:
Thats a bit wierd - I posted after GCG and Lillith... hmm.

I met my current fiance Troy while I was married to my first husband. Troy was a friend of my sister and she was having a pool party that day. Troy stopped by after he was done working construction, so he was in one of the construction orange vests, dirty jeans and a hard hat....SEXY! I think I started to drool! A month later I tossed my husband to the curb(for other reasons). A month after that, I bumped into Troy at a bar while I was out with my sister. Told him I was single and we have been happily ever after since then! That was 4 yrs ago, and we are to be married next fall.

Met on icq.. non romantically when I was 16. I knew the first weekend we met.

I met my boyfriend on the internet and I flew to Australia to be with him exactly two months later. His mum loves me, his father likes me, and today his mum even said, "I feel good about Michael leaving home if you're there... because then I know he'll be taken care of and be happy"

I met my husband at the strip club that he worked in. He was a male dancer. We had an instant connection. A week later we went to NYC as friends to go shopping and hang out. He came home with me when we got back from NYC and never left. Eight months later we got married in vegas and have been together every since then. Our friends thought we were crazy to move in together after the "first date" and to get married so quickly. But we both knew that we were met to be together. This August will be our 6 year anniversary and we both couldn't be happier. I feel lucky to have such an amazing husband.
I first saw him while I was buying my textbooks for freshman semester in the bookstore he worked at. I didn't think of him much at the time (other than "ooo. . . cute!"), but in my memories of that moment, he has a sort of whole-body halo, like some paintings of the catholic saints. We spent the rest of that semester with him trying to uncomfortably ignore me (he was in the end stages of an unsalvageable relationship they were both trying to salvage in part due to living together) and convinced I was a lesbian, and me uncomfortably trying to ignore him and convinced he was in lurve with his girlfriend. Needless to say, I bought a lot of books that semester.
We both tended to eat at the "Gamer Table" in the cafeteria, basically a huge table at one end where we freaks and geeks hung out -- very fun, great conversation, very loud. He broke up with his girlfriend in November, but they were trying to be adults and stick out the lease (I didn't know about this until much later). The last dinner before winter break, we sat and talked and talked until everybody else was gone. I came home and proclaimed to my parents that I would spend the six weeks of winter break getting over him, by god! They still laugh about that.
We both finally figured things out and met at a concert with a bunch of my friends. He was wearing a locking wrist-cuff (which I thought was hot), so he let me wear it. In all the making out and winter jackets, it got forgotten, and my computer promptly succumbed to a virus when I tried to turn it on to tell him to come back and unlock me. I can still remember showering one-handed, with the cuffed wrist high in the air. Five years later, everybody has gone from shocked to thinking of us as essentially a single item. And we still have those disgusting moments of PDA where we forget we're in public and everybody else wants to barf from the cute.
Oh, and my first V-Day card to him was "Loving you is like kissing a manatee, confusing and vaguely displeasurable."
He's still got taped on his desk, and I still have the Superman valentine he gave me.

I actually met my Fiance on myspace of all places! We were both in relationships when we first met so we were friends for awhile first. Then we stopped talking because my ex was really jealous and upset about us talking. So after I found out that my ex was cheating on me I called Kristian (my fiance) and him and his ex had broken up on the same day as my ex and I so it was like fate.

Significant relationships... hmmm.... first husband was the room mate of a guy I dated on and off, we ended up talking on the phone all the time when I was calling for the other guy, then one day he asked me out. Two years later we were married. Current husband was a custie in the club, the only custie I ever dated or saw out of the club. Took him home and kept him...lol. The other 3 significant relationships I've been in, I met each one of them at my work at the time, which was not dancing. We were co-workers that clicked.

I met my hubby at the club I worked at he was doing some work for the club been together five years this march
GA PEACHGA PEACH GA PEACH

I met the wife as I was leaving a bar she was working in a curio shop and I was out of smokes . Picked up a pack of M- Reds and talked to her a bit . ran into her a little later that night and the romance started . About a year later we married and its been 20 wonderful years . I quit smoking a couple years into the marriage - funny how bad a bad habit had such a positive outcome .![]()
