Default Should I waitress or stay independent contractor?

I just started at a bikini bar club on the weekends and have been an independent contractor, recently a couple managers want to know if I'm going to start waitressing, which alot of the girls do.
I've been reading up alot on here about independent contracting vs. employee etc, but the threads usually get really in depth about taxes.

It's hard for me to read what's the best option, because you never know who's trying to get what they want out of the deal.
    So my questions are:

Would waitressing really give me extra $ since I'd be making a wage plus tips, plus stage tips? (I feel like I make good money chatting and having a drink with the customers after my stage sets and that if I'm on the clock then there's no more time for that, but on the other hand, it'd be an easier excuse to move on to the next guys even if it's only for a couple bucks instead of getting stuck with a guy until you finish your drink and getting too tipsy)

Do you think there's any ulterior motives for having me be a waitress i.e. (taxes, making me show up on time, etc. (do they get some of my tips now, or I have to tip out more people)

I can't quite tell if it would benefit me or if they'd have me stuck serving drinks all night, or maybe it's a way to get me to not drink, (I already had an episode) maybe it could be because I'm new and some customers have been requesting me through the dj or manager, so if I keep moving around to all of them instead of just sitting with a few the whole night, it's better for the club?
I can't decide because I already have another full time job that's strenuous and if I wanted to be a waitress I would've gone to hooters or something, but if it's really because they like me and they're trying to move me up the ranks, like a privelege of course I wouldn't mind the extra cash,,,hmm? Any insight?

(ps when I was a waitress at a restaurant, I wasn't very good because I would talk to the customers too long, and my memory isn't the best. Also it seems like the waitresses get mad when they have to wait on me and I'm sitting chilling with the guys.plus they change to flipflops or tennies to cocktail waitress and I think it takes away from the whole fantasy)

Oh also, does remaining an independent contractor avoid any extra paper trail etc? I'm not planning on doing this forever and I want to remain as lowkey as possible.
And just to clarify ... I still get to do my stage sets and our club doesn't do any sort of private/lap dances.
