    Default Burning Man

It's my first year... I'm so excited! I've already talked to several girls I know who're heading out to the playa this year. I doubt a meet-up would work, but I'd love to run into some SW members while swinging on a pole out in the desert...

Yeah, I always wanted to go as well. I have several friends who go, but they have a far less structured life.

It seems to be the best craziest party in the desert. You can dress how you want and do what you want. They have alot to offer during the day and even more at night...thats when all the crazy parties start I guess. Its like hippies in the desert kinda thing. Be ready to have some serious fun.

This will be year #3 for myself. I'll see what I can do about registering "Camp StripperWeb" or at least the name Pryce. My camp won't officially be "Camp StripperWeb", but I'll register the name to help make it easier for fellow members/burners to find us!

We all imagine ourselves the agents of our destiny, capable of determining our own fate. But have we truly any choice in when we rise, or when we fall, or does a force larger than ourselves bid us our direction. Is it evolution that takes us by the hand, does Science point our way, or is it God who intervenes keeping us safe.

So much struggle for meaning, for purpose. And in the end, we find it only in each other. Our shared experience of the fantastic. And the mundane. The simple human need to find a kindred, to connect. And to know in our hearts... that we are not alone.

Pryce since your the vet here I remember you talking about this last year . I was looking at the tickets ( 280 each ) and was wondering do they sell just a day pass ticket so you can just check out the scenery for the day or something to that affect ? Looks fun but I am not sure I want to stay for the whole venue.

I've gone camping out on that playa during autumn. Very pretty scenery if you like the desert.

Advice on tickets: buy early. I mean months in advance when tickets are about $185. Thats if you buy I think before June 1st.

No, they actually frown on day visitors. They're trying to encourage participation and a feeling of being disconnected from the "real world". You can just show for a day, but you gotta pay full price. They also charge you to leave and come back.

Sorry - but I'll tell you it's well worth the week.

My roommate just left for her annual burning man trip. I was all set to go with her but got discouraged due to tales of drama, which apparently can be high in her camp. That's seriously the last thing I need.
