    Default Maximizing Dancer Income

There is a thread going on in Hustle Hut ("What do I do in VIP") that I don't want to hijack, so I am starting this one. The discussion there has veered over to the proportion of money the customer pays that actually goes to the dancer. I usually am the new guy in the club, because I usually stop in an SC only when I am on the road. So one issue I always wonder about is, how does the dancer get paid in this club? I don't want to screw the owner, but I also want to choose the entertainment that actually will benefit the dancer's income most.
Obviously that involves direct tips, but I also am tempted to try to find out up front how they make the best money -- in VIP, in a long string of dances, by buying champagne, etc., so that they actually get the benefit of their time.
Usually I just guess, because it seems awkward to ask up front. How would dancers respond to that? Would it look like I am prying? Would it be welcome?

what benefits the dancer most is you paying her to sit with you at the bar since the club normally takes none of that. But if you want dances, it's probably in her best interest to take you to a VIP, but it's probably in yours to go to the couch room.

Or you can straight out ask her once she tells you the prices what her cut is. I normally don't have a problem with this because I understand a guy is trying to make an informed decision on how to spend his money on me.

See now, I dont work in a club with a VIP (woe. angst.) so what I get I keep, save for the standard club ti out, DJ tip out, and bouncer tip out. I would say, act like there isnt a VIP room, but spend like there is. Give her what you'd give her in a VIP room, but dont go.

i personally wouldn't mind at all if a customer asked me what services would benefit me the most. it's a very thoughtful approach.

just make sure you phrase it in a way that makes it clear you want to help the dancer out, and aren't just being nosey about strip club economics.

If you are continuously in unfamiliar clubs, I would suggest you not do vip/champagne room trips with dancers and focus instead on couch dances/ nice stage tips ect. This way you can avoid dancers who just go through the motions after they already have a large chunk of your money and focus instead on those who provide you with the best entertainment.

    Wow....I like customers like you!

The best way to assure that she gets to keep most or all of the money you give her is to tip generously, either for conversation or on stage. But if what you want is dances, and are not necessarily about conversation, then the VIP is definitely the way to go. She won't be able to keep all of it (I give away HALF of my VIP money to the house, although some clubs take a lot less), but she will appreciate it more than you getting the random few dances here and there. It maximizes her productive time as well, so she is not left to hustle everyone in the bar for a long time just to get a few dances.
Also, topless/bikini clubs tend to take less of a dancer's money. Nude clubs tend to take (ahem*extort*) more, because they know the girls are making a lot on a regular basis. The nude clubs charge more for dances, and you'd better believe their expected cut is higher too.

    Good luck and happy clubbing!

Good tips. Thanks. Sounds like not too many dancers would be offended by the question if I pose it right.

I would just stay away from the champagne room because it's kinda a rip off for you and most clubs take a large percentage of what the dancer gets. You're better off in a regular VIP.
PS... why don't customers like you come to my club??
