Hello ladies,

I'm figuring out grad applications....deadlines, etc...and I know there are a few schools in Philadephia i'm interested in (well, hey, gotta apply to many, even though my top choice would be a school near NYC). My question is more about the general nature of the city. I've never been there before (I know, I know, I need to go visit! but I thought asking for opinions might help as well). I know that as far as the strip clubs go, there are plenty of options, so that's not the issue.

Is Philly pretty diverse? Is it fun to live in, more so than Boston? But of course it's probably not as fun as NYC, I don't think any city really beats NYC in terms of energy.
Is it expensive to rent in Philly? How is the "energy" of the city? Lots of boring people, depressing people( well, you get that everywhere, but you know what I mean)...plenty of bars, clubs..a good night life? Does it have a good public transportation system (i.e. how good is the underground subway...and does it run 24 hours/day?)... thanks ladies!
